I can, the video evidence is fairly conclusive on here and it clearly highlights that the RFL are a joke, would do no good for the sport to show that footage on TV and then say Chase received only 3 matches!!

Agreed, that would be stupid trying to deport an Englishman to England. Although it may be possible to deport a Knob to Knobland - what's your legal take on that?

| I would just like to say i have spoken with tangi and he has told me that rangi has not been in touch to apologise although tangi as said he doesnt really want to talk to him at the minute. Cant blame him really but it just shows what type of person chase is to not have even tried to apologise.

Heard people saying he hasn't spoken to him and also heard that Chase has phoned him up and spoke "at length" with him...so I'll wait for something more official.
Although if it does turn out that they have spoken, will that also "show what type of person" Chase is?

That's proof enough.
I'd like to think he's just giving him some time, but it wouldn't be a surprise if Chase just kept a low profile and stayed away...which would be the wrong thing to do.

| It doesn't matter what you have 'heard'.
From the horse's mouth, "Chase hasn't been in contact".

| Just looking at the disciplinary guidelines I think the ruling was too light. (Sorry if already covered in the previous 46 pages)
Grade C-E Strikes with elbow – tackling – reckless
Grade D-F Strikes with elbow – tackling – intentional
Grade - Normal suspension range
C - 2-3
D - 3-5
E - 4-8
F - 8+
So they ruled for a 3 match suspension that either it was the lowest grade of reckless tackle but the highest suspension in that range or that it was intentional but the lowest possible suspension.
Either way, I'd have given more.
The rules do allow for a clean record to be taken into considerationbut equally they say an injury to a player because of the incident should also be taken into consideration.
Also, remorse for the incident is taken into consideration. If I were Chase I would have at least apologised in public if a face to face is too awkward but equally if I was Tangi, I wouldn't want to talk to him and I'd be probably kicking up a stink about it too.

The report says reckless and the guilty plea was taken into account.

The charge was strikes with arm, hand or shoulder - reckless IIRC which is a Grade A-C offence. So he got the higher end of the punishment available to the RFL on that charge.

Well I guess I'll have to look at that again but it sure looked like an elbow to me.
