On the basis of this hand Saints their third title in a row now because only just beating a team full of championship level players who haven’t played a competitive game in over a year is seriously bad.

Wigan are playing with only 2 first team backs, only 1 of those is in their usual position.

He was at centre for most of the game after Field's injury. Wigan fans have wanted a prop brought in even before G Burgess was released, that's not changed.

Wigan get Leigh and Wakefield as first two games, two weakest teams on paper, nothing like ensuring a good start to the season eh, especially useful when you are carrying injuries

I don't know how many times it's been mentioned that Wigan have 6 or 7 out, maybe 20 or 30 times an hour for the last 3 days, yet no mention that Leigh have 6 or 7 out who would all be in the starting 17, oh & a squad of 26 rather than the 32 + most teams have.

A lack of smarts was our undoing & Wallace having a man crush on Zak Hardaker (must have the way he kept sending him the ball).

Overall, the result I expected before the game but much closer than.I would have believed.

OK, Wigan were some way off full strength but, Leigh played really well and probably deserved something out of the game.
Great game for the neutral though.
