Borough Park you mean ?? I went to Bramley in 1964 as an 8 year old which could have been Barley Mow.

Clarence St when we played York, all the Cumbrian grounds, Alt Park Huyton, Station Road Swinton I could go on....

Runcorn, Mansfield etc etc

Oh Halifax Dukes at the Shay on a banked track but that’s Speedway icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

For a bit of subjectivity, I thought I would post McManus' other quotes that Donny conveniently left out.

“And it’s time for us to recognise that all twelve clubs, regardless of where they are based, should have equal central distribution. Not doing so is clearly divisive and unworkable.”

“A full and open review of the Toronto debacle should first be conducted, which should necessarily include consideration of whether SLE or our governing body could and should have acted or intervened earlier, when there had been so many clear warning signs in the months and weeks preceding.

“This would also give Toronto a chance to present an alternative business strategy. It is incumbent upon us to give them such an opportunity, regardless of our deep frustrations and doubts. Not to do so would leave us open to and unnecessary challenge. It is the right and proper thing to do within an acceptable time frame.

Managed to do them all in the Seventies with two mates taking turns in our dodgy second hand cars.

To do Cumbria, Derwent Park,Recci Ground and Craven park we had to go up Friday nights!!

Huyton's Alt Park was an eye opener. It's a green space now but the banking for the stand is still there.

Once "expansion" hit us our record of doing all the grounds was ruined. We didn't do Kent or Southend icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

I don't get why they are still offering themselves.

Recalling when they had Mark Campbell organising the ground and the club structures superbly, then setting up Nahaboo to fund it all, they were on the brink of getting to SL. Then Nahaboo pulled out and they have been on a shoestring budget since????.

There is cover at Cas and Leeds, Wakey just don't let away fans in to the covered stands. And despite what Donnyman is stating, I am not trolling, i am having a conversation.

Quote: Pumpetypump "Where we disagree is that you think it was favouritism, in other words a random act of kindness by the RFL toward Bradford. Take a step back and ask yourself does that sound a bit odd to you. I'm genuinely as far from a conspiracy theorist as you'll get, but there has to be more to it than simply wanting to help Bradford out. The RFL may well have not wanted Odsal to be lost, but as to why I'm not sure. I sometimes think it would be nice for a few other clubs to be inflicted with a similar kindness (and other meddling) and see how you get on.

It wasn't worth it on financial grounds. It wasn't worth it by tying us to a ground that's unaffordable, and it wasn't worth it because it fostered ill-will towards the club and the governing body.'"
right take away the interference of the rfl what would of happened to Bradford as a club with so much debt had they not come in, I can see why your angry with them but where do you think you would of been now

Never implied you were trolling, because Wakey don't allow away fans in general in the covered area's is not the same as having none at all, re the Benidorm flats, I notice you declined to comment on the municipal pool at one end of the ground in Perpignan.

I never said Benidorm...? The fact Wakefield don't allow away fans in the covered areas is a bad thing, but no worse than charging away fans more at the KC I guess.

not seen the municipal pool in Perpignan, but knowing the French it is probably a well designed and well used facility.

Anyway, Bradford and Odsal, never going to happen, as has been said, if's a money pit.

Wakefield DO allow away spectators in the covered areas they just don't encourage it, as for charging away fans more they are charged the same as home fans irrespective of whether they sit or stand, the term Benidorm flats is a term used by away fans who like yourself have little or no idea the value of them to the club in terms of revenue, which brings me to the comparison between the two, it's a municipal swimming pool built by the council for the public and nothing to do with Catalan Dragons, who themselves play in a municipal and unlike Wakey receive no income from the bog standard baths, if you believe what's said was built purposely by the mayor of Perpignan who just happened to be the president of the rugby union club in the town, so you must know more about the French than the rest of us, as for Bradford they've had chance after chance and blown the lot, they'd always be at the bottom of the pile for me.

Yeah people say that sort of thing a lot. Do you know what these "Chances" actually amount to?

1. A guy who owns three Indian restaurants. Didn't have any wealth and the RFL cut funding in half making administration virtually inevitable. No chance.

2. Taken over by a man with a small online bed company. Has no money. Administration is inevitable. No chance.

3. RFL then approve a guy who owns a small security firm. Has no money. Administration is inevitable. No chance.

4. RFL then appoint two guys from New Zealand with no money. Takes us away from Odsal. No chance.

Even if you think those were credible chances that were "Blown", the fact of the matter is that in the same period bids were made by several parties with meaningful wealth, including Mrs Koukash (clearly Marwan really) AND by a consortium including the owners of WASPS RUFC. They were turned down by the RFL not the administrator. Seemingly the RFL prefer to inexplicably foist yet another person with zero money on us. I don't call that much of a chance at all, it's just weird.

I can't really see that we'd be any worse off than we are now. Even with RFL "help" we later went into administration. Without any RFL money that just happens quicker. This would be a good time to just confirm that the notion of Bradford being in super league in the short to medium future is utterly insane and I don't advocate any fudge to let it happen.
