I was thinking that Widdop v Gale was a bit of a non-contest.

James Clare has started this year on fire. Some fantastic finishes that would have hit the headlines if they had been scored by Johnstone.

Just a shame sticks has had such severe injuries as he's got no pace at all for a winger. V good lad and a decent finisher.

That’s Price gone then. It’s impressive how bad a job he has done. Getting to 3 finals and winning 1 will mean he leaves with some credit but will mask how poor a coach he is. Especially when you consider the signings he’s made and the money spent paying the likes of Austin.

I'd have Austin in my side before Widdop any day. At least with Austin you get *some* end-product. I think Gale has slotted in very nicely to give Leeds some direction, he is exactly what they needed. They were better in every department, Newman, and Walker early doors, continue to impress. I don't think there's much doubt that Leeds will be contenders at the business end of the season.

Go and have a lie down. They were good but made to look better than they are by a team that is a disgrace and has been for a good 5 months worth of games. Leeds will not be contenders at the business end of the season.

I said they were good but you’re going over the top to say the least. Saints had 6 missing and lost a 7th early in the second half, the players they had missing probably take up well over a third, and possibly close to half, of their cap. Saints and Wigan will both comfortably beat this Leeds team who got well beaten by a Hull team that isn’t anything special.

The Hull game was the first game of the season, featuring brand new pairings at both half back and in the props, but sure, that tells us a lot more about Leeds' season than tonight's game ever could.
