Who is to blame? Probably refs. The usual whipping boy for any Wakey defeat.
Wakefield are never beaten only cheated you see.

No the Northern Hemisphere doesn’t revolve around Leeds nor would SL implode, no one has said either of those things apart from people who can’t properly respond to the points made.
Do you think TV companies or sponsor care about if opposition fans find it funny if Leeds go down or enjoy it because they’re a rival who you’re enjoying seeing struggling after their successful years? No they don’t give a damn about that, they care about people tuning in and eyes on their product if they’re sponsoring. Leeds undoubtedly provide the most for both of these. If you think tv companies and sponsors will offer more or the same with reduced viewers then you don’t understand either. You’re expecting them to pay the same for less essentially.

But they shouldn't be anywhere near on a par with them as Wakefield have a far superior squad with players way above Fartown's squad, also they are playing with the big boys now and are a top club these days aren't they?, maybe their mouthy fans were just a little bit over excited after 2 consecutive finishes above us.
Back down ya daft little moggies icon_lol.gif

Yes our recent results against you tend to prove that and it's good you can see through your hatred of our club and accept it, never the less it's worrying times when atm we are only on a par with shudds in the league table.

I think the plaice will be a bit subdued after last weeks game, but I'm hoping the lads can forget about it and put in a brilliant performance, cod knows we need one, maybe a plan could be to wind Connor up, he'll surely take the bait, hook line and sinker? we also need to tackle better than last week and that may cast a doubt in Hulls mind, we desperately need to start floating to the top end of the table.'"
What you failed to do here whilst trying to be clever is not put that post in context, it was a direct response to a post before it...
Unless you think that was a serious post.
What’s cringe worthy is you going through posts and posting them out of context.

| But we still have the same problem. Whoever goes down will be stronger than whoever goes up, whoever goes up will end up with the best players from whoever goes down and next year the cycle will continue. I would like to see the team going up given a helping hand in the form of...………… to help them to survive.

Toronto (if they go up) won't be buying London players (if they go down)....they will strengthen buy paying transfer fees...essentially continuing to "buy" success. They will sign a couple of big name Aussies and will have agents "tapping up" top players from the top 5 or 6 SL clubs.....the real issue is who will go down in 2020....because it won't be Toronto (should they come up this year)
I still think that the comp will be expanded to 14 once the season is over and the next TV deal will be announced.

If we cannot strengthen the Championship until it can be a feeder for SL we would be better having a SL with all of the strong teams in it and then franchising sorry licensing.

Do you think a TV company would care about a few hundred leeds fans cancelling their subscriptions? Would any non leeds supporter cancel their subscriptions? leeds have been dire for 3 of the last 4 seasons so no one is subscribing to SKY to watch them, nor are sponsors flocking to the sport because of them.
SKY will be negotiating a 3-5 year deal and leeds not being in SL or one of those will have no effect whatsoever.
bradford were a similar sized club to leeds and them going down has had no effect whatsoever on the SKY contract.
It's hilarious that leeds fans are now fabricating this scenario where everything will be worse without them now they're in danger of the drop

Straw man? Is that your phrase of the day? Stop inventing scenarios that justify in your mind that leeds should be some kind of special case. SL miraculously survived bradford being relegated and they'd do the same with leeds

Who said anything about cancelling subscriptions? No I doubt you’d see many at all cancelling if Leeds went down but we’re talking about viewing figures. If Leeds aren’t in SL next season then the total number of viewers for all the games combined over the course of the year will be significantly down compared to this year, you only have to look at how much we’ve been shown on Sky this year still including against HKR instead of a Saints/Wigan Derby to see that.
If Leeds go down they may well be straight back up but we don’t know or can’t promise Sky that and we need them more then they need us so any idea Sky will take the approach “oh I’m sure it’ll be fine and they’ll be back next year” is fanciful.
A number of times I’ve heard the “we survived Bradford going down”.... yes SL has “survived it” but we certainly haven’t thrived since then and we’d be in a much stronger position with the Bradford of 15-20 years. Plus losing one is one thing, losing a 2nd big club is another.
Whilst you can keep with the hyperbole claiming that Leeds fans are saying SL will be doomed without us....no you won’t be doomed nor will it destroy SL, but it will cause a hit to tv and sponsorship which is never ideal especially for a sport that needs to be taking forward steps.

Don't think Leeds have any real value in the SKY grand scheme of things, these days the new "boys on the block" are Castleford and Hull on that side of the pennines. What annoys me sometimes on the televised home games with Leeds is the brass band background noise its getting worse than the Huddersfield cow bell.
