Toulouse get roughly 800 people per game with numerous getting in for a free. I should know, I've been. Have you ? So how the hell would there be 10,000 there on a Wednesday night in October?

Game should have been in France. We gain nothing with the game being held over here.

The Toulouse team's average Championship attendance is over 2,700 not 800. I have been going to Toulouse games from way back when Trent Robinson was captain coach.

The reason why we could get 10,000 in Toulouse for a Test is because French people are more interested in international Tests than in second division competitions. The attendance would have topped 10,000 if the match was held on a weekend.

I have been to French Test matches against New Zealand and Australia in Toulouse (Ernest Wallon) and Paris (Jean Bouin). Have you?

Such a shame that RL is not confined to 2nd half eh ?

Interestingly when I reserved my ticket online today, the LSV website said that the North Stand was already 94% sold, which I don't believe for a minute, maybe 70% ish !

As in Denver, Colorado, Mile High Stadium aka the scene of abject failure or New York who appear to be retreating faster than a French Army ?

The promotion of the fixture (or lack of it) is/was a total disgrace and the "our league" system even worse.
With limited promotion the fixture should have been a sell out.

Our sport is just amateur in all of its administration and it's difficult to see just who's responsibility it is to organise this stuff.
It's mickey poor from all involved, RL should be embarrassed on getting 5000 attendance for the first home international since the world cup, utterly embarrassed.

Having said that, those of us that made the effort to go, had a decent night, albeit watching a one sided contest. Some great craic with the Leigh fans in a decent, if small, ground and looking forward to the series against the Kiwi's

It's hardly small for a RL ground, capacity is just over 12,000.

That is small compared to the stadiums of five Super League clubs -- Wigan, Warrington, Hull FC, Huddersfield, and Leeds when completed -- which have capacities of 20,000 or more.

Three of which are football stadiums.

And the capacity of our future saving clubs Toronto and Toulouse are ??

Small in terms of staging top level international RL but, a stadium that some of us can still only dream about in terms of SL
I know that it's easy to make comparisons with the other code but, Union would have sold out Twickenham for that type of fixture and we manage 5k.
As I said in the earlier post, it's just embarrassing.
The hospitality from your club and fans was excellent but, the promotion of the game, ticket sales, live stream were so utterly poor, it's unbelievable.
It's hard to imagine it being any worse.

The fixture was almost a secret to committed RL fans never mind the wider public.
Our sport needs to get a grip and find someone, even an external body, to advertise and promote the game.
It's akin to Sunday league football and nowhere near top level international sport.
