| HXSparky my response wasn't aimed at you. It was at our multi-accounted friend. I'm sure Leeds and Hull have much greater resources than we have in terms of being able to have a larger squad. If they're not needed guess what, they can go on dual reg. If Featherstone have a squad of 26 and everyone is fit, what do the other 9 lads do? Twiddle their thumbs?

| Quote: Sir Kevin Sinfield "Leeds and Hull have been playing with that many injured all year. A “professional” club should still be able to field a full side.'"
Ah yes, Leeds, the club that in June had to buy a winger from Fev in order to field a team.........

| If Leeds and Hull had hit the situation after the signing deadline, what would they have done?

| Quote: toastymcb "Let's just add some sensibility before claiming we couldn't field 17 because of our use of DR
Martyn Ridyard - Injured
Tom Holmes - Injured and released
Chris Ulugia - Injured
Jason Walton - Injured
Richard Moore - Injured
Scott Wheeldon - Injured
Dakota Whylie - Injured
7 players that would have been in that 19 unavailable through injury but let's blame dual reg because it fits out narrative...'"
Sorry mate, only SL teams are allowed to complain about injuries on here. Well, unless your team is either Toronto or Toulouse.

| Quote: Sir Kevin Sinfield "I’m not sure what’s more embarrassing, claiming to be “the lifeblood of the sport” but only been able to name 14 players in your match day squad, or losing to the side that only has 14 players.'"
<REMOVED - No need>
Afterwards, Purtill held no punches.
“They turned up with 14 fully committed players. But I don’t think our guys were committed to the cause.
“Maybe we looked on the sheet and thought it would be an easy day. But as individuals, we have a responsibility to get ourselves ready for the game and I don’t think we did that.
“We were disgraceful and I don’t think we would have beaten Leigh Miners Under 12’s with that performance.”

| When I first started watching the game, each team had 13 players and one sub. There was only one interchange allowed. Somehow we seemed to manage. Nowadays, even with only 14 players in the squad, although it obviously restricts your choices, you've still got 10 interchanges available, it's just far more difficult because each player coming off only gets a 5-10 minute break before having to go back on again.

Perversely though, Fev's momentum wasn't interrupted, by changes of personnel. Ours, on the other hand was constantly being interrupted as we tried desperately to find a combination that worked!

| Catalan should be fined and a points deduction too, disgraceful not selecting fully fit players.
Quote: JEAN CAPDOUZE "Why should they? It was an utterly meaningless anticlimax to the magnificent Challenge Cup victory at Wembley. The Catalans coach even rested some of his star players for this game.'"
