| A fantastic result for McNamara and Catalan yesterday.
Blew Saints off the park and they fully deserve their spot in the final.
The turnaround in form after such an abysmal start to the season has been off the scale and on yesterdays form and with Bird back in the side, they could well be favourites to win.
He (McNamara) came in for plenty of stick and with their start to the SL campaign, it looked like the on line "experts" were right but, credit to him for spectacularly turning things around.

| I watched Cats at Hudds a couple of months ago followed by them at Leeds. Possibly the 2 worst games I have ever seen. They are just not recognisable from those teams.

| No problem holding my hands up and saying I was dead wrong. Mcnamara has done an amazing job.

| I’ll be honest I was calling him McBanana, an awful coach, not worthy of L1 earlier on this season.
It appears I have egg on my face. He’s done a terrific job at turning it around and making the CC Final. Making the 8’s was a monumental achievement in itself. They’re also looking very strong for next season. Good luck to Catalans.

If Cats get beat in the final he will soon be forgotten.

| I am happy to put my hand up and say I didn't want him appointed and have constantly been tweeting "McNamara out" for most of the season.
Since the Salford hammering we took on Good Friday, the Dragons have been much improved and hopefully have moved out of the crisis mode that has been their stock in trade.
Whether I like him or wanted him or not isn't really relevant is it to be honest ?
Results are what he should be judged on.

| If Catalans manage to win at Wembley, Steven McNamara will surely win Coach of the Year.

Defeating York, Whitehaven, Huddersfield, Saints and Warrington is OK, but hardly coach of the season material.......2 Champ 1 sides, fellow mid table fodder Hudds and Wire and 1 notable scalp in an off colour St Helens who have dominated the top competition this year......Holbrook has a 77% win ratio at Saints....Banana has about a 43% win ratio....Holbrook will win it should saints win the hubcap.

Yes, we know about all that....but it's the turnaround that matters.

| Greg Bird is pulling a few more strings on and off the field now the pressure is off him.
Assuming he behaves himself, I expect him to be head coach within 2 years.
Drinkwater arriving, and Lowes leaving too.
Small margins, big results
