Don't think there was any bad intent in either but the end results were very different so can't be treated "consistently"

| The only thing now that can save the existence of the Toronto franchise is for management to get rid of anyone at the club who have any connection with Leigh as it’s obvious this is the root of their discipline problems.

Yes, considering how little league we see on terrestrial TV, this wasn't much of an advert for the sport.
Likewise, I might add, the "Watersplash Final" the BBC are making such a fuss about. An unfortunate incident which, if anything, makes the sport look a bit of a joke. If you wanted to put some historic footage of league on the BBC, couldn't something a bit more positive have been shown?

The watersplash final is history the story of the game the way if ended, the player it happened to. Its an iconic moment in our sport and its the anniversary of it.
If you can’t see the value of celebrating that, then your an idiot.

letter of the law, just like that soft punch after being poked in the face and neck grappled. That's why the toronto captain was frustrated with thaler because yet again inconsistent refereeing, he was right in that and Thaler shown up for a talentless bag of e from the ganson school of refereeing.

It's not letter of the law that if the legs go in the air it's a yellow, it's dependant on how the player is brought back down and significant difference in the two incidents.

| Great first 30 minutes from Toronto but, following the sin binning they were embarrassing.
It was as cringeworthy as an amateur game on You Tube, Lock Lane v Redhill ??
What was the Toronto captain thinking ? he must have been worried that there would be no hot water left !

Warrington much better at managing the referees inconsistency, so they could manage their niggle and he'd never follow up on his threats. Toronto lost their cool at the way Warrington were able to shape the refereeing. That's game smarts. Lack of discipline doesn't reflect well on Toronto, but it is an indictment of refereeing standards that the referee lacked the smarts and the discipline not to be managed in that way. But are there any referees left in the UK game who can do better? I'm not sure a Russell Smith or a Steve Ganson would be so malleable to a team like Warrington back in the day, not over the course of an entire game anyway.
