Taylor hasn't shown the ability to 'rip up' any competition for years. He was incredibly dynamic for such a big guy when he first started, but even then couldn't play more than about 10 minutes at a time, and he simply hasn't adjusted the way he tries to play to match the inevitable decline in athleticism. He's one of those players whose highlights reel makes coaches think he's worth the risk, when in fact he's been a fairly useless pudding for much of his career.
