The lineup comment is pretty simple, our lineup was missing loads so staying it was close is daft. You should've won given what both teams managed to put out.'"
I thought that's what you meant so I gave you the chance to look stupid and you obliged.
We had nine definite first choice players missing. However more importantly we had Finn and Miller missing replaced by Hampshire and Ackroyd (whose 19 ) who met for the first time last week. Whilst our hooker left the field after 5 mins.
So as ever your reasoning is flawed and your ignorance of any team other than Leeds is confirmed.
Anyway aren't you SL champions and the best funded team in SL - I'd have thought you had quality from 1-50 or doesn't it work like that at xmas time?

It was a friendly not a cup final, Grix, Johnstone, Miller, Finn, Fifita, Huby, Ashurst, Horo, and Randell who limped off after 5 mins, barring injury will all be first picks when the season starts, how many were you missing from your starting line up.

And we had 12 in Hall, Watkins. Moon, Cuthbertson, Garbutt, Parcell, JJB, Ward, Delaney, Ferres, Galloway, Peteru add to that Myler having to come off at halftime, a smaller much less experienced bench and in Mullally and Singleton two guys who have only just returned to training after the WC with Ireland.

Doesn't work like that at anytime given the Salary Cap and I know you were missing some, just not nearly as much as us and anyway aren't you the mighty Wildcats, the team who all the big clubs are afraid of now?

| Its a boxing day friendly. Nobody cares what the result was or how many first teamers played.

So does that mean that fitness aside, those 15 players' you've named above will all be named plus 2 of your much less experienced that played boxing day for the first game of the season?

What's boasting you were pushed close or why take the drop goal - you were on the rack.
Is it still hurting that we thrashed you in our last competitive game - or did you have a lot missing for that one as well?

[b:3w2ur1db]Superleague Titles[/b:3w2ur1db]
Warrington Wolfs - 0
Wakefield Trinity - 0
Leigh Centurions - 0

| All this poll does is highlight how far super league has sunk. It’s full of players no one has ever heard of bar those of us that watch reserve nrl. The same poll 15 years ago would have much different

That was Wakefield's GF, our players were saving ourselves to peak for the actual GF.
What were Wakefield players doing on October 7th?

David Mead is a name that has been heard of and one that is revered far and wide in Australia.

I dunno, our recruitment consisted of Danny Orr.

Really, could you possibly be any more of a cliche.
Yes of course it was our grand final and not a game we needed to win to progress in the top 8 - just like everyone else
I would imagine Wakefield players were doing what the players in all the other ten SL teams were doing - holidays, washing the car, mowing the lawn or enjoying a GF BBQ, HTH .

sadly i have to agree with this - i watch a lot of NRL and to be honest there's quite a few i still haven't heard of. on a more positive note, the best recruit might turn out to be English this coming season
