| This is getting ridiculous now. They need to either bin the ref decision for or allow the VR to exercise a degree of common sense.

| I was doubtful on Gidleys try too. Looked to be grounded short then bounced over the line but held up by Lomax.

| Quote: gary numan "Well you don't get a 3d view so there might be a finger underneath it but I agree it was highly likely to hit the line but the fact is no one sees it actually on the line. Under the old system of benefit of the doubt to attackers it's a try all day long but under this system of 'proving' it wasn't you've got to see it touch cleanly.'"
Giving the VR the benefit of the doubt, he obviously can't be 100 per cent sure the ball has been grounded on the line, but at least 99 per cent. And that 1 per cent highlights the fundamental flaw in this system.
Whoever we all support all our teams have had the rub of the green with this system, and I thought it was a good idea initially, but after tonight it needs to be binned. There were mistakes made with the old system but at least they could make a call based on what they saw rather than having their hands tied by this "try" "no try" business.

i've seen countless tries awarded with less clear evidence than that one

| Hahahaaahaahaaaaahahaaaaa that's one of the worst decisions I've ever seen. To a trained official that should be as conclusive as anything. It's clearly on the line.
But it's yet another example of why this ridiculous "I have a try/no try" law should be binned.
I hope Cunningham goes nuts in his interview.

Don't know why. Thaler was good in that game. The video ref was ridiculous.

| Thaler and his officials also missed a knock-on just before Warrington's 2nd try and obviously the Lineham knock-on. 2 crucial decisions in a semi-final.

| Some awful officiating tonight. Cobb deserves to have his professional career ended for a decision that bad. But Thaler's performance was far below the standard needed for a semi.
At one point, on 58 minutes, the young wire lad hadn't noticed it was last tackle. Thaler began shouting at him, that it was last tackle, like a coach trying to prevent an error, rather than an impartial referee. Truly bizarre behaviour at times.
Cunningham was marvellously restrained in that interview. He's grown into the role.

| Wire are off to Wembley again according to Barrie. Christ, that must be up there with one of the stupidest comments from the commentary ever.

Video ref had his hands tied by the ridiculous and not sure why it went up as no try anyway as he must've been over the line when Thaler got closer to the scene.
Thaler didn't have a good game for me. Gave Warrington everything, knock ons, foul play, let young Morgan Smith off with lifting a players legs and gave offside against Luke Walsh for collecting a kick at he put up. Saints didn't get a crum off of him and to not check Lineham's try when the grounding looked iffy on first view but went back to see if Lomax knocked on before the ball was drilled into touched for a scrum. Very one sided ref performance throughout.

That was the charisma and professionalism vacuum that is Terry O'Connor.

I agree, any vitriol should be aimed squarely at Cobb in the VR box. Also the old dear running the right touch who Thaler asked "is it ok" ? I have seen him on numerous occasions just panic, he is like a rabbit in the headlamps & he didn't help his ref one jot there.
Was this a 10 point swing in Wires favour (think a conversion missed) due to 2 blatantly incorrect decisions by Cobb ? Saints fans should be very aggrieved by this, I prefer Wire to any other SL Club but this is just wrong.

Eddie going "it's going to be a repeat of the 2013 Grand Final against Wigan.............or erm a repeat of the Challenge Cup vs Hull". Eventually realising that the other semi final was yet to be decided.

| Thats the reason people are walking away from our game, don't get me wrong Warrington deserve to be in the Final after their season but not after that game. Saints was well and truly robbed.

| Re Walsh offside. If the players are in front of the kicker then they have to remain 10m away from the player catching it or the bounce of the ball. There were a good few saints players within that 10m.
You can ground a try with the torso.
Very harsh for Peyroux's try, but by the letter of the law there was no conclusive shot of the ball being grounded.
Saints not penalised once for have players in front of the ref in the defensive line, time and time again.
