Only 3 games a day this year should help the ground being fuller, would expect it to start filling up during the 2nd half of Salford-Widnes and then peak in the first half of Leeds-Wigan.

Woulda thought it'll be at peak just as our game ends. Alot of Hull an Rovers fans will wanna be off an getting ready for the night out. At least i know thats what i plan to do haha.

Tell you what, some of the negativity I've seen about Magic Weekend some of our 'fans' are a disgrace to our sport

We have a wonderful event where you can watch 6 games and the cost is cheap as chips! No other sport can do this other than us!

I'm bringing a mate who isn't into sport what so ever and I invited her along to our wonderful party and she's excited at what I've shown her!

Nah. I'm going to stay at home. Saints usually don't bother with it, so I gave up a long time ago. Should be a nines event.

My thoughts exactly, even though my team will probably get stuffed, I always enjoy the banter with other fans.

I don't think there *has* been much negativity about the MW. A few people have said that accommodation problems have meant they won't be going to this one, one or two others, like myself, have discounted it on the grounds of the travelling distance involved. I don't recall many being opposed to the concept of Magic Weekend; certainly I've enjoyed all the others I've been to.

Considering rugby league crowds can be questionnable , would 60,000 turn up for a 9s weekend? I like magic weekend a lot, looking forward to seeing how the toon embraces the event. with a beer too.

Theres plenty of time available before and inbetween the games that a 9's tournament could run. Plus, it may help encourage those who only watch their game then leave, to stay a little longer.

Obviously, it'd be fielded by predominantly youth players, and perhaps Championship clubs if room could be made in their fixture lists. I used to really enjoy the floodlit 9's.
