I really feel for the London fans, and club. How can they be expected to attract fans when they know almost as a certanty that their team will get hammered every week.
Whats the record for points conceeded in a season?

Just from SL years Halifax conceded 1227 in 2003 from 28 games which is the most total points during the SL era, at an average of 43.8 per game.
However Workington conceded 1021 in 1996 but that was only a 22 game season so have the higher average of 46.4 per game.

How dare you answer this question. Questions regarding statistics (eg attendances, scores, cost of pies) fall within the remit of our friendly statistician Billy Eve. I trust you will apologise for stepping on his toes.

Well London are off to a healthy start if they want to beat either record

My main concern is that London Broncos points against column may well exhibit a number that is bigger than our lowest crowd this year. Looking at the Salford pack that will line up against us on Saturday, if they don't stick 70+ on us, Nobby should be fired.
London's average attendance this year will be way south of 2k........and for the first time in 12 years of defending the club, I suspect that of the 26k who to attend, the MAJORITY will be there to follow the visitors!

| only 4,000 at Wakefield, 1st home game of the season against local opposition. Must have the same issue the Giants and Bradford had when their Season ticket prices went back up, ie no one wants want to/can't afford to pay the full price.
I know the capacity was reduced but that is shockingly low.
Least it will stop the Wildcats fans banging on about how great their crowds are now....

| TBF Wakey is a bit of an exceptional case at the moment, due to the severe ground restrictions. Without those the attendance would obviously have been significantly bigger, it put a load of people off. I know several of 'em, that normally invariably go.

| There’s a few factors which I assume affected the Wakefield attendance; firstly season ticket prices have gone back up to a respectable amount, the off season dramas of selling their best players, ground capacity restrictions and then there’s the Thursday night on Sky factor.

The ground only has a 5,500 capacity this season I think.

In mitigation...
Live Premier League Darts was on Sky.

A majority of Super League and Premier League Darts fans share similar demographic profiles (The C2DE range according to the NRS classification) along with their associated boorish, drunken, loudmouth traits, therefore both sports are in direct competition with one another on Thursday evenings as a consequence of Sky Sports scheduling.
C2DE types were presented with the option of paying around £20 to attend the Wakey/Bulls game last night, or they could stay at home, sit in their armchair and watch both on Sky by channel flicking between the two or via Sky Go on a separate device. It is therefore not unreasonable to claim in mitigaton that last night's attendance at Belle Vue may have been adversely affected by the clash of live events.

Which
Make at the 1500 empty seats all the more puzzling. This was a very important game in the greater scheme for both clubs with one of them heading down with London.....
