| Quote: spegs "Wellens at FB....
Yeah totally crazy that the most decorated full back in SL history, a MOS, Harry Sunderland and 2 Lance Todd trophies to go with the 15 trophies he lifted at Saints could be considered as the best full back of the SL era
On his day, Wello was a class player who could read a game better than anybody else I have seen - great under high ball, very good defensively and a good try scorer. His ability to read a game meant his lack of pace was rarely an issue and for that I think he could be classed as good as any other #1 that has played SL...was a tough call between him and Radlinski tbh as I rated them both very highly but dont find it that crazy he is up there at all

| Quote: JEAN CAPDOUZE "Andrew Johns played a couple of games for Warrington. He was the greatest half back who ever lived. How can he not be in the team?
Keith Senior is only famous for boffing a cougar (an elderly woman) groupie who was not his wife, while on tour in Australia. He may he have been good at boffing. But as far as rugby league goes Lyon, Gidley, Newlove and Renouf were far superior.'"
''greatest half back who ever lived'' - He was good but no that good. He played a handful of games so should not be considered.

He is remembered also for owning Barry-Jon Mather, although that wasn't SL it was the CC.'"
He’s also remembered for more than 500 appearances, more than 200 tries, 2 challenge cup wins, being part of 5 grand final winning squads, winning 2 WCC, 43 international caps and 15 year career at the top of Rugby League.

| Quote: BrisbaneRhino "Jack Reed has excellent hands - his problem is lack of speed. Check out the tries he set up for Josh Hofman last year for proof.'"
I saw that try, and thought the same, but it's some Broncos fans who have watched him far more than any of us who are saying it, they don't seem to think he'll be in the centre for the Broncos for long, but with the 2nd row and centre being so interchangeable it doesn't really matter; as with Kenny-Dowall and Sonny Bill.

| Wellens
Robinson
Lyon
Newlove
Volcano
Barrett
Long
Peacock (best rugby as prop IMO)
Cunningham
Farrell (was world class when he played prop)
Joynt
SOL
Scully
Gone for players that where in top of their game whilst in super league.
Gidley as good as he was was past his best.
Burgess improved in the NRL.
Few great props left out.
Graham, fairleigh, fielden but Andy Farrell I remember had to play prop because of injuries and was pure class.
Tomkins may well become a better full back but Wello at his best was outstanding.
You can find clips of old games when the big 4 ruled the super league. The good old days.
You forget just how good Wellens was.
Sol obviously is a 13 but I just couldn't leave him out and no one is moving Scully from that 13 spot.
Off the top of my head I couldn't think of anyone better than joint for 11.
