| Personally, I would only count the MS attendance once rather than over two games. You can't exactly buy a ticket for just the one game. It's like saying the attendance for the Magic Weekend was 210,000.
When working out the average however, I wouldn't include the Wales game at all (or the England game, whichever way you prefer!). They were both part of the same event. It would be wrong to say 90,000 watched both and wrong to say 22,500 watched each. So just take one game out and class it as a single event.
So I'd go with the average being...
Eng vs Aus / Wal vs Ita - 45,052
PNG vs Fra - 7,481
NZ vs Sam - 14,965
Ire vs Fij - 8,872
Total - 76,370
Average (based on 4 events) - 19,093

| Quote: Sadfish "You can't count it any other way though, it's pretty simple.
There is a big fixation with "attendances" at Rugby League, no one ever says at Athletics, hey look at the crowd, look at all the empty seats, and no one says, the crowd for the 100m is 3500, how can you count the same crowd for the high jump.
Get a grip.'"
Well said, how hard is it really to grasp the concept that 45k bought tickets to watch England v Australia and 45k bought tickets to watch Wales v Australia. It is irrelevant whether they're the same 45k people or not.
It's nothing to do with polishing a turd it's basic common sense.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

I'm 2 out of the 3, does my attendance only count as 2/3 of a person?

| With me being circumcised, does that make me less of a man, therefore not counted towards the attendence, or does it just make me a lot 'cleaner'?

I am so looking forward to seeing 180,000 people packed into a 90,000 seat stadium for the semi-finals
Why? There's 2 games going on at that stadium. There'll be 90,000 for one game, and 90,000 for another.
In the same way Twickenham managed to hold 62,637 people for London Irish v Saracens and 62,637 people for Wasps v Harlequins. The last time I looked Twickenham didn't have a capacity of 125,000.
And in the same way when there's been a dual code double header at Headingley. There was 12,015 for the Union game and 12,015 for the League game.
2 games. 2 attendances. Simples.

| You charge people for 2 games. The Wembley semi tickets cost £40. People aren't paying £40 for one game! I chose to pay £20 for each game so count me twice.

so your World Cup average is only going to include 26 of the 28 games played and will pretend that 2 games simply didnt happen? We are going to pretend that Italy and Wales played one less game than they did and that for what is likley to be the first time in history we have invented a structure in which 4 teams play in 1 semi-final?

| TBF, the RFL should have predicted this thread and cleared everyone out of the Millennium at the end of the England game then let them back in.

| Only in rugby league would you get "supporters" of the game arguing over semantics in an attempt to make average attendances for a major tournament look smaller.
Some people just don't want the sport to be a success at anything.
