To give you a little background here, the RFL cut off 50% of our yearly investment income when they told IL he couldn't have interests in 2 clubs and then did absolutely nothing to help us find another investor. The also continued to refuse to assist in out community costs, even though at the time we were solely responsible for the games promotion in London, but instead, set up their own office and "piggy-backed" on our work. Furthermore, they blatantly refuse to offer any additional assistance even though the cost of renting property/living in London can be up to 4 times that in the heartlands.....we can't afford the standard of players other teams can, even though DH spends to the cap.
London will fold at the end of 2014 (if not before) unless a new investor is found to share the burden that DH has carried since 2008 (9 million by the end of this season) and the work and investment carried out by the club over 17 years of SL will pretty much disappear.......all because the RFL refused to let a RL mad investor keep his stake in our club and help build the business side up......David Hughes is a saint, but he is not a businessman...he is a broker....he has money, but very little experience of running a day to day Business...Lenegan would have given us that...the RFL cut our throats in 2006/7.........
..so yep, demands for the RFL to assist us may seem a little "childish" to you, but we only want the same level off assistance doled out to 2 Heartland Clubs BEFORE WE GO BUST.....not afterwards.
London dropping out of SL will have those national sponsors kicking down the door even more than they are now

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one

So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

The only way this club can move forward is if the rfl get their tight hands out of their pockets and find us a proper home whilst also promoting the game at grass roots level down here.'"
Well said.
If Nigel Wood can get on his high horse and start lecturing about how London must improve and all that, he should start backing up his sizeable presence and make sure that London is on a level playing field to the rest of the teams, which it most definitely isn't due to the unique challenges London brings. If the RFL wants a London presence then the RFL has to start investing in it instead of just hanging it out to dry.

The problem is that the RFL want a London club but don't have the money to invest in them.

| Surely its criminal that a majority of the public within a 2 mile radius of the ground are not aware when the Bronocs are playing a home game, whom they are playing and the KO time.
Better marketing will produce bigger grounds which = more money for the club which = being able to afford better players which would bring some succees to the the club which = bigger crowds. Its all a knock on affect in my opinion and it should start with better match day marketing.

I have reported you to the moderators for hacking my account
I have said this to the club, the owners, a succession of CEO's and employees and The RFL for the last 11 years........only Ian Lenegan and the RFL agreed with me.

But what a ground! Sometimes I just drive over there, not on a match day, but just my own personal stadium tour to soak up the architecture. Sir Norman Foster, eat your heart out. And the atmosphere...the haunting way it turns the sound of 10000 people into the sound of just 10 has only ever been matched by Don Valley, that legendary venue. Whatever else you think of the RFL, let's shower them with gratitude for keeping Odsal. Why, I'd go so far as to say its a "stadium worth going to in its own right"

Its a mystery to me why this hasn't been done at the Stoop to my knowledge since it worked at Griffin park. I'm sure even now the Broncos could find volunteers to leaflet homes and business's within a 2 mile radius of the ground, which is more than is being done now. They could also use the players to do the same thing as well.
