We can all play the irony card when it suits huh? Frankly I was half thinking that your fans are so far up your own s that one of you might actually think you were something special, given the bollox that comes out of some fans mouth's it wouldn't be the first nor the last time that some self important $h1te was spouted.
Still in the interests of completing the circle of irony & just to be sure I thought I'd wade in with a handful of my own you know just on the off chance and all that. I guess I made the classic faux pas of not using emoticons to show that my reply was ironic also?
Should one have used one of these icon_wink.gif or indeed one of these a014.gif I'd hazard a guess that maybe that wouldn't even be enough for some of the afflicted here icon_cool.gif icon_lol.gif icon_eek.gif d040.gif icon_wink.gif

Quote: just_browny "Another attempt by RL fans to jeopardise this event before getting a real grasp of the facts. Pretty sad really.'"

Perhaps if the RFL could have been ar$ed to answer his email, he wouldn't have had to, quite legitimately, share the response from the Etihad on here.

This shouldn't take any more than a mouse click to answer - standard answer referring them to a web page listing stadium rules for the day. But then maybe that's a little more complicated than organizing a p-up in a brewery and thus beyond Mr. Wood's capability to sort out.

Sad preacher nailed upon the coloured door of time; Insane teacher be there reminded of the rhyme. There'll be no mutant enemy we shall certify; Political ends, as sad remains, will die.:1602.jpg

One superb reason for slipping away from the stadium (or even arriving late) are the excellent ale spots in the Northern Quarter.

One of the stewards works with me and he's looking forward to this event: he knows what rugby fans are like from Barton stewarding.

[b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag. [b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg

Should one have used one of these
ROAR!!!

You didn't make the faux pas of not using emoticons. You made the faux pas of having no wit whatsoever and taking the suggestion that watching a Rugby League team was like watching the Beatles seriously. You then followed this up with a mega bite. You then made another one by not understanding what irony means and then you finished it off by claiming that you were being ironic.

You're right about one thing though - life is too short. Stop taking yourself and life so seriously and take your medicine.

Ground Rules

This is a generic regulation in all stadia due to copyrights, you'll be ok with a personal camera ie a non SLR type. I doubt the thousands of Man city fans were denied capturing their own personal memories the other weekend! Besides how many of us carry phones with camera's integrated!

reading through the posts, am i right in thinking you can leave the stadium, after the 1st game, but only stay within the grounds, (city square), but not allowed to walk back to manchester city cente then back to the ground for the hull derby?

Some of these stadium rules are a joke!

Q: Can I bring bags, rucksacks or suitcases?
A Luggage items larger than A4 size are not permitted into the stadium for security reasons. Appropriate discretion will be used for ladies' handbags, baby changing bags, etc. which will be subject to the standard security checks

So does anyone actually have a bag thats A4 size? Or can anyone lend me a Sport Billy bag to put my kids jumpers, jackets, ipod, suncream, hats and sunglasses in. I wonder what they do on city matchdays when people use the clubshop do they supply special bags?

You can go wherever you like, on or off the stadium premises as far as I can tell.

Q
As long as you're not taking in a suitcase or one of those huge hiking bags then I can't see it being a problem.

Both Cardiff and murrayfield had the same "no food" stipulation in their t&c's but did not enforce it

Can't see how that could be enforced. City square isn't enclosed

I wish folk would stop sensibly answering these questions and allow me to invoke my right as an RFL to GET REALLY ANGRY AND SAY THAT IT'S A FARCE.

Weather will be too warm. Risk of heat exhaustion. Been saying it for years but we really ought to switch back to winter rugby.

Only after they've been smashed on their owner's head and pulled down over their shoulders to prevent them moving their arms.

P.S. I don't like drums.
