| Stupid idea.
Anyway I thought Denver had copyright of the name 'Broncos' and we weren't allowed to use it.

If you look at the badge, you'll see that the official name was London RLFC at the end.

| The RFL are never shy about telling us RL in London is a success due to the growing numbers of grass roots players so maybe these people and their families and friends should be the target market????
I agree with other posters that the affluent area of richmond (aka the home of the england ru team) is not exactly an ideal location for a Rugby League team and the Stoop is far too big for the crowds they get to generate any sort of atmosphere.

You need a 10k minimum stadium, even that would feel too big currently, they need marketing, a permanent name and location and a proper identity.

| 1.London RL (Nicknamed the Broncos).
2.Stay at the Stoop, which isn't actually a Union heartland, it's just where the Union lot happen to have their stadium....you wouldn't describe Wembley as a soccer heartland, would you?
3.Return to the Fulham colours.
4.Spend some f****ng money on proper marketing.
.......disregard points 1, 2 & 3 if you don't do point 4.

Marketing
I love it how this always comes up.
A world cup has an international audience, who are the real audience of Hull KR and Cas...two medium size club sides?
I think sometimes league fans need a reality check. They like to go on about how RL is the Greatest Game and is unmissable and so on but when games are on TV a lot of fans would rather just watch the TV than pay to get in the stadium. It's a good game but it's not THAT good. The problem isn't a lack of awareness of when games are being played (which marketing would solve) its RL fans choosing not to go.
You will see that when the internationals are on, rl forums are full of chat by people sat at home watching the TV during the international matches commenting (while the games are going on) on the internet about how bad the crowd looks on TV and how bad the RFL marketing is. They all knew the game was on they just couldn't be bothered with it!
As for Harlequins/London it will be the same old story - other than a small handful of loyal fans, London isn't interested in rugby league. I am sure they will carry on staggering on as they always do and we will get the usual stories about all the good work London is doing getting kids playing rugby league and there won't be long before all these London born lads start playing in Super League, as we've been hearing for 25 years.

Apparently have an agreement with the Denver Broncos to use the name. We changed from being the London Crusaders to the London Broncos at the end of January '94, when Brisbane bought us from the RFL (I still have a chuckle at the idea that Aussies, of all people, would buy something on spec from a rails bookie, i.e. a certain Mr. Lindsay, M.). This all came up on a thread on the Quins forum a long time back, and I haven't the time at the moment to find it.

Is the local community around Wembley the typical demographic profile of football... yes. And is the community of Richmond the typical demographic of Rugby Union (in the South East in particular)... yes
