FaxMachine knows that Crusaders are in Wales, not in West Yorkshire or south Lancashire. Therefore there are no rugby league fans in Wales. Therefore there are no Welsh fans attending Crusaders games. Therefore the crowd figures must be due to a) visiting fans, b) free tickets or c) lies. Simples.

Down 40% not 60% from the initial attendance and that is a pessimistic view. While not as high as the sell out for the first game, crowds of 6000 are still higher than last years and higher than current and other previous super league clubs

New stadium, New sport, New team thats the media hype surrounding all that, if you expect the same number of paying punters to turn out every single game forever , then you are deluded.

More than half the crowd against us were home fans. The main stand was full with home fans. We took just under 3k.

Leeds had an allocation of just under 2k apparently. Over 8k home fans.

I would imagine Hull FC would take around 2-3k but the crowd was near 7k.

Hudds took 1.5k according to someone on their board, so again, you got it, more home fans.

Catalans was a poor crowd but still 2k for a cup tie on tv. Home fans again.

HKR attracted many gates of around 1600/1800 in the late 90's and early 2000's and look at them now, 8000 home fans almost every game.People get bored after so many years of lower grade RL.Besides,as has been pointed out,it was a midweek pay on the gate cup tie live on TV so was always going to be below our average.Don't any other professional RL clubs post cup tie attendances, live on TV,much below their league average or is it just Widnes?

CD - Widnes fans do go on about their crowds in comparison to others.

Regardless, I would prefer to see Widnes in SL in place of Les Cats and the Crusaders. I think you will get decent, but not great, crowds. I just hope you winthr GF to justify your position in SL.
