| Quote: kirkamania6 "I'd have Tomkins and Eastmond in the halves with Sinfield at 9 (thought he showed some good touches there in the 2nd half)'"
I agree about sinfield playing well at hooker and would start with sinfield at 9 against the kiwis.
Roby for me is not a starting hooker. His passing from dummy half ain't so hot either.
I wouldn't play eastmond and tomkins at 6 and 7 just yet as it's a lot of pressure for 2 young lads. Maybe next year I'd try them as these 2 our englands next super stars without doubt.

| Isn't Lee Gilmour fit? He always pays well at international level and would be better than Peacock at SR or either of the centres.

Who would you have instead?
If your only going to play 1 young half back then surely it has to be Tomkins on current form? The only senior half back in the squad is McGuire and on his last 2 performances he deserves dropping.
I'm a believer in 'if your good enough your old enough' and Eastmond and Sam would be our most dangerous pairing

I'd keep mcguire and tomkins at 6 and 7 for next week.
Eastmond and tomkins without doubt will be our halfbacks for next 10 years if they live up to it.
I'd play eastmond centre next week but if being honest he don't get enough of the ball at centre but offers a threat outwide with his running and pace.

| I think that when Eastmond came on and played in the centre against Inglis he did a very good job so I would leave him there. I think leaving Myler out was correct but I would bring him in for the NZ match as I think he will be doing his utmost to impress and get his place in the team. Sinfield's game improved in the second half when he played in the dummy half position so I would put him in at hooker and have Roby on the bench.
It will probably be very physical upfront so I would also add Carvell to the bench for more back up.
S Briscoe
L Smith
K Eastmond
M Shenton
R Hall
S Tompkins
R Myler
A Morley
K Sinfield
J Graham
J Peacock
G Ellis
S Burgess
J Roby
E Crabtree
B Westwood
G Carvell

| here's a side I have no concerns about....
Eastmond
Fox
Ellis
Bridge
Hall
Sinfield
Tomkins
Graham
Roby
Moz
JP
Westwood
Burgess
Crabtree
Carvell
LMS
Moore
Thought Sams (both), Westwood, Sinfield, Big Eorl were superb today.
JP, Moz, Roby were under parr - but still worth their weight in gold.

I'm sure people were saying Smith was a much better option in the centres
