Exactly, in the last yawnyawn WC final SA fielded 14 rugby players and a kicker who took no part in running with the ball or tackling. It was so obvious the yawnyawn commentators mentioned it. |

| some good points but i think the real reason is that there is a specialist kicker in RU who is in the team to do just that and not much else a la American Football.
I bet there are kickers of equal or better standard in RL but due to other deficiencies in their game, these far outweight the ability to kick goals
