ok really modern stadiums have computerised counters which lock each gate when its allocation has gone, there results in total are sent to a central database for crowd control reasons and official figures.

income has nothing to do with attendances, its a balance sheet item on the clubs accounts. far easier to fiddle the kids entry to parent than the attnedance, especially if you used shared gates.

ok a kid and a parent goes through same turnstile pays 18 poundS plus say 6 pounds

= 24 quid
nice and easy

two parents and one kid - 42 pounds
one parent and 2 kids - 30 pounds


no tickets issued, no audit trail so one puts through two parents and one child as one parent and two children, the beuty of a shared turnstile
and far greater percentage than fiddling the attendance

then you play around with non turnstile entries in corporate and season ticket holders in stands and jobs a good un.

However, whenever a SL match is a sell out, the announced attendance is usually given as the ground capacity - which is almost impossible, given some season ticket holders are surely going to be on holiday or at work or otherwise unable to attend.

Not seen too many sell out matches to judge mate.
