Stade RU at home to Brive yesterday in a sell-out. Kills the RL crowd stone-dead as we witnessed last year when there was a clash with a RU home game.

The Stade game was at 2pm, followed by the French RU v Italy, with the RL kicking off after both had finished. The rain may have beenmore of a factor.

Carlos Zalduendo was inteviewed in La Dépêche today and said that it would be quite difficult for Toulouse to go up to SL in 2012 as the stadium renovations will take 3 years and they don't meet the 12k capacity criteria. He also said that being in the championship has all the disadvantages of travel costs & time but none of the advantages of a tv deal - but it was the only way forward to get a second French club in SL. Sounds like they're planning to be in championship next year.

Sorry Matt , that would be like us saying we cannot play at home if , Man Utd , Man City , Liverpool , Everton , Bolton , W Athletic , Warrington , or the pies are playing same day as us

I think the weather had more of an affect than anything else plus of course Stade TO is massive down here and will always take the RL crowds in the RU season and of course the financial crunch is as bad here as it is in the uk and tickets for TO & Catalans are not cheap.

but as you say,poor crowds ? yes,they will fit in very well it seems

giants must have gone 50 plus 3,000 crowds now where's our praise

oh i forgot there was 7,000 bradford fans there thats why the crowd was so good
