The report from Wigan's website suggests they are on for 11,000 season ticket sales, a new record, and that they are expecting to sell out the Warrington and Saints games. If that is anywhere near correct, and the other initiatives come off, they could get very close to that 20,000 average they targeted a couple of years ago.

WEST COAST PIRATES NRL expansion? Sometime soon, maybe......:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_9857.jpg

In Oz you can sign your dog up as a club member! There are a wide range of ticketed and non ticketed options for most clubs.

Season ticket holders here are generally a much lower % of overall attendances than in UK. For example someone like the NZ Warriors will avg around 16k but ony have 4k season ticket holders. It is something they are trying to change and is slowly.

Do the NRL still do the membership table JB? The one where it shows sales and a percentage rise/drop from the previous year?

I'm not sure how many season tickets Leeds have sold but the Southstand will be back to full capacity for 2012.

[quote:1pqtnbtj]Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.[/quote:1pqtnbtj] Kevin Sinfield:982.jpg

Quote: Odem "Other than the TV advert none of it costs the earth. The typical Salford excuse of 'we don't have the money to do it' just doesn't cut it IMO.'"

I think Leeds are a little bit lazy. They almost sell themselves without too much effort and they're very luck in that respect but I'd like to see a bit better marketing.

From what I have heard the South Stand will be open to full capacity come this Friday, albeit with maintenance work continuing.

New Stadiums = Great Crowds

Look at Warrington and Saints examples.

Before people knock Salford, lets wait for a break in the weather, I sure things will improve greatly with the weather.

Come on Cas and Wakey sort it out lads.

Corresponding fixtures in 2012, compared to 2011, when the games were playe in Mid/late summer,

Salford v Castleford UP 46% eusa_clap.gif
London v Saints UP 39% eusa_clap.gif
Leeds v HKA UP 13% eusa_clap.gif
Wigan v Hudds DOWN 13% icon_cry.gif
Bradford v Catalans DOWN 17% icon_cry.gif
Hull FC v Wire DOWN 25% icon_cry.gif
Using 2004 for comparisson,
Widnes v Wakefield UP 60% icon_eek.gif eusa_clap.gif

Great start to the season attendance wise, and the news that Leeds, Bradford, Saints and Wigan have all cracked 10k ST's is another pointer to the clubs understanding that whilst the SKY TV money is nice, it's revenue from Fans attending and buying merchandise that can ensure that they are sustainable as businesses in their own right.

This weekend, St Helens will have their biggest home gate in the ESL era, Wigan should see a big turn-out for the visit of the champs, Wakey fans should be out in force given they expected to be playing in the NRC this season icon_wink.gif , Castleford could get 8k, Catalans will depend on the weather, but I reckon Widnes will turn out in force at Huddersfield.....

Crowds are on the up, and long may it continue. eusa_clap.gif

Saints will be close to capacity. Shame about the weather last weekends weather, the attendance figures could have been sooo much better! Salford and Bradford in particular saw their crowds hampered by the snow+ice
