Morons shouldn't be humoured.
Great game, great atmosphere - a bigger crowd would have been nice, but I'd call the final a great success.'"
True.
Oh yes, I agree with the rest of your points too.

Personally though,I think Salfords new ground would be ideal for the Northern Rail Final - right size, good location, would help Salford a little, keeps money in the game, rather than giving it to football.'"
Needs to remain at Blackpool, if at a rugby ground Salford or any other fans would just turn up for the game, plenty went for the weekend and those who went for the day went early, there was a cracking friendly atmosphere all day, which was a credit to both Leigh and Fax fans.

| Quote Huddersfield1895="Huddersfield1895"The negative is that only 8,500 turned to watch a cup final between 2 heartland sides with asperations to play in super league.
The positive side is that it was a entertaining game in front of passionate fans.
For any team with asperations to play in Super League they must try as hard as possible to get as many fans as they can to showcase games like this. Actually i will expand on that and say that clubs like these 2 who want to play in Super League should make an effort to showcase every game they play, and show the RFL that they would be assets to Super League. Easier said than done i know, but they need to give it a very serious try.'"
Less than 5000 down at the shay for your games. What does that tell you??

| Quote tommy="tommy"Wasn't that only 500 less than the best ever attendance for the final?
Are we going to reverse back and relegate Cas, Hull KR and Widnes as their final 'only' brought that amount? (which weren't FULLY sold out just as point of order that there weren't ticket available).
What a bizzarre thread.
(no digging at the above 3 teams, just amazed at the eness of the point trying to be made)'"
Cas v Rovers in 2005 was a complete sell out weeks in advance. (Mainly due to Cas before anyone starts with the "hilarious" HKR millions jokes).
The capacity was only 9,500 back then, it's over 16,000 now.

No it wasn't. It may have been an absolute sell out in the Cas/KR ends, but the RFL were still selling tickets.
The capacity yesterday was, and always was going to be whether Wigan and Saints played there, 9,000.

No, the ground was full to capacity in 2005, you can repeat your claim as frequently as you like but the facts are clear. If the capacity was reduced to 9,000 yesterday (I have no knowledge of this), could you explain why?

Wasnt there a temporary stand there (just over 5,000 in capacity) which was being taken down in order to build a permanent stand, thus meaning the capacity yesterday would have been around 9,000?
