| Lets not kid oursleves that it's a problem with Wigan(or Hudds, Hull or any other ground if it were somewhere else and didn't sell out). It's a problem for British Rugby League in general and moving these games from one ground to the next won't do us any favours.
A compepative team will do us the world of good as would tickets that are all priced between 20 and 30 quid and not going as high as 40 and 50 quid.

| The lack of unity in RL is the problem at International level, is there a full Barla weekend of fixtures?

Because Leeds are the best supported Rugby team in Britain.

Its about 90km from Leeds to Wigan ...even given the congested Pommie roads thats only about an hour?
And where would they hold it in Leeds?
At the Whinos ground? Or the soccer ground?
Allegedly both venues are pretty ordinary
At least Wigan have a decent stadium

because there are more clubs in west yorkshire than anywhere else and combined they average over 60k?

Seeing as it only takes about 2 hours to drive from coast to coast (through the RL heartlands) ...thats from Liverpool to Hull ....it doesnt really make any difference does it!!
Its not like fans are being asked to go from Sydney to Perth
Leeds (west Yorkshire?) to Wigan...one hour max

Of course it makes a differance, some people might not be able to travel far due to work commitments, others in the middle of a reccesion might think twice about taking there family with the extra cost of rail tickets or petrol, no one is going to go last minute to a place hours away.
As for one hour max between leeds and wigan, you should try doing it when the m62 is full of rugby fans, you've got no chance of doing it in less than an hour.

| There are quite a few driving up from Bristol for the weekend. Unfortunately I managed to accept two DJ books on Saturday (doh!) so will have to settle for watching it on TV. Gutted not to be at the game - it's always the most fun match in the internatinal calendar for England supporters - a few beers in the Anvil pre-match, good banter with fans, great atmosphere etc.
Off to the Galpharm the week after and possibly the final (though I hate Elland Rd - wish they'd pick another stadium)
Hopefully England can put in a good performance (win or lose) and it looks good on the BBC/is a great advert for the game.

Thats a big worry when you consider they're the cheapest tickets.
It's looking like Saturday could be pretty embarrassing for the RFL.
Tony Smith may be forced into playing Wigans golden boy in Sam Tomkins to shift a few more tickets............hope so anyway

He might only have wanted 2. Also the allocation given to Wigan may be completey different to those currently selling through the RFL.
I would imagine that a lot of fickle Wigan fans are waiting on the team announcement before making a decision to see if little Sammy is in. Sad but true. If not, you have a situation of an International being held in Wigan without a Wigan player involved. Hope it touches near capacity and I think it will TBH.

To be fair i've not bought tickets as i've only just got back off holiday and I will be going either way but if Tomkins is in the side i must admit i'll be looking forward to the game that bit more.
Alot of Wiganers will be awaiting the team announcment though.
