| Quote: wrencat1873 "If Bradford are so far away, why would they put in an application, surely they would have bowed out gracefully ?
As for being a fortune teller, surely this is just a quick swap to plan B, as there was talk (and plenty of it) about Ottawa basing themselves at Odsal, when they were over here.
Swap 2 Championship clubs (or 1 Championship and one league 1) for a SL spot and away you go.
As for the money, maybe Mr Wood has pulled a few strings or called in a few favours ?
Clearly they must have a plan or, just why would hey have applied ?'"
Good point there wrenners.

| If Bradford thought they were the likely candidate it would be evident in their recruitment. I imagine they applied to give an impression of ambition to their fans.

Until they are issued with the golden ticket, ANY club (including Leigh) would be brave or foolish to sign a squad capable of competing in or staying in SL.
Also, IF the drawbridge is to be pulled up as part of the next TV deal, it wouldn't matter.
I'd still go back to, why go to the trouble and expense of putting an application together if you are not wanting a shot at the "big time" ?
Also, if Bradford are planning a return to Odsal (to share with stock car racing), the increased attendances in SL would go a hell of a long way to helping with the rent.
Championship crowds in the "Iconic" ground would seem to leave a monetary deficit (again) ?

| Leigh have already signed a team capable of being competitive in Superleague. If Bradford were waiting for a 'golden ticket' are there enough players left to assemble a squad capable of competing?.

| Do Leigh and Bradford have better propositions than Toronto?
If not how can they be let in the League?
I can see legal action down the road.

| Quote: J7P1 "I agree with you Moisk 111. All these rumours about Bradford being given the nod are just a smoke screen. Leigh are the only team with a squad anywhere near enough to be competitive for the full 2021 Superleague season.'"
What makes you think SL wants a club that can be competitive?. Their doing everything possible to make whoever comes up uncompetitive from lateness of the decision to reduced funding. ITs pretty obvious they want someone to just make the numbers up and not threaten any of current incumbents.

Plenty of OOC players at most clubs, plus the usual smattering of "Aussies".
Whoever gets the official nod and it may not be Bradford, will have relatively little time to act.
Perhaps, if Fev as "next best" club (having been runners up in last seasons lay off final), had been given the nod, as soon as Toronto were rejected, they may have had more time to act.
With how this charade has been put together, in theory, the new SL club wont have enough time, although, it's reasonable to expect that squad strength and recruitment would have been part of the application process, for EVERY candidate.

Leigh have put a relatively strong squad together so far. If Leigh get the nod, Degsey has more SL quality players lined up to sign if need be. However, if Leigh don't get the nod, we will have a strong squad to challenge for promotion next season. No doubt I'm sure Degsey will add to the squad at the business end of next season if need be.

And what do Bradford do with the players they currently have contracted for next season once they sign all these OOC players
