More like their fans not keen on losing. They've never been the most loyal of fans.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

| In and amongst the gloomy attendances so far this weekend, Leeds last night registered their 100th consecutive 10,000+ attendance for a SL Regular Round fixture.
As far as I can tell it's the first time that has been achieved during the SL Era.

Are the people of Leeds unaffected by this nasty "credit crunch" ?
St Helens is falling apart, apparently.

__________
Wigan also are carrying their best sequence forward at the moment - 69 and counting

to add, Hull's last sub-10K crowd was against Warrington in 2006.
some worrying crowds around the league though, I think the economic situation is really starting to hit, and some clubs (including Hull!) seriously need to reconsider their pricing.
although I appreciate it was on TV, and with no away fans...4K at Cas, as supposed RL hotbed, who have had a fantastic start to the season is appalling.

TBF though it's only through a desperate marketing strategy that Bradford are having great crowds again, most clubs would have five figures if they offered entry at a fiver a game (which is what it probably works out at at £60 a pass). Fair play to them though, as said it's probably led to fresh merchandise sales, sponsorship deals etc.
Agree with the Hull fan about pricing, IMO £20 is a touch steep considering how skint the country is at the moment.
Re Cas, was it on Sky though?

Most games at this time of the year require floodlights to be turned on, at Craven Park they turn them off at half time they cost that much to run.
£20 when the club not only have those 17 players to pay but the rest of the squad, coaching team, back office staff, medical staff and private hospital bills for when players need operations...etc, then there is the bills and everything else. So I don't think £20 is that expensive to go and support your team, if they reduced it to around £12 like it used to be we'd be back in the National League (Championship) attracting around a quarter of the fans we get now!
