deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night

| Without wishing to put a dampener on Langtree Park as it looks great, but there seems to be a big gap between the back row and the roof which might not particularly help the atmosphere, even when the cladding is in place?

It's designed to be expanded, with two extra possible phases. Up to around 20k if I remember rightly - not a chance we'll need that much, though!'"
Never say never mate, it would be great news if that indeed happened.

The proof of that will be in the pudding so to speak.

Aye fair point. It is noticeable at the LSV though where there's a much bigger gap on the West Stand because of the exec boxes when compared to the other stands, particularly the terrace.
Suppose you'd best get practicising <insert FOOOOORRRRWWWAAARRRD joke here>

Isnt that more a case of the fact the ground is virtually empty when Leigh are playing there, with most of the crowd probably standing up behind the goal.
Wires ground is an example of a stadium with a high roof line above the home terrace, yet which still manages to create a good atmosphere.
Same also can be said of the KC.

Agree to a certain extent but it's often said the acoustics at the HJ are far better for the away fans with a smaller space between the terrace and the roof. Up to the fans to make that a non-issue anyroad and I hope the move goes well for Saints - will try and get along to a game this year.
