Apart from the couple of games Gleeson has played in, we've managed to go virtually the whole season without a right-side defence

There does seem to be a bit of a common theme in most people's lineups in that everyone wants/expects a new centre to be signed. Highlights the lack of them in SL right now.

Well, it says something we're trying to pin down a centre in the NRL who's played what, 18-19 games for Brisbane? The game as it is played today excludes centres, it's got to the stage where wingers prefer a kick behind the line or a pass for a standoff to a pass from a centre.

As it stands at the moment:

Newton and Clinton are both contracted for next season as far as we are aware so they'd still be in the team as it stands.

Rumour is we've offered Hindmarsh a 3 year deal so it looks likely that we'll be bringing in a new pack member to toughen it up a little bit. From what I've seen of the NRL, both are improvements over Platt and Sykes, so that's a start.

I think we'll do well next year - we've seen glimpses of it this year so more consistency next will be a good start.
