| I quite liked it - a refreshing breath of realism amidst all this stuff about how the game needs to expand at any cost, we must have London, Wales, France, Turkmenistan, Wollomolloo (if there even is such a place) posh towns like Oxford and cambridge, and bollox to the likes of halifax and Keighley where the game grew up!
Coom on, yer Northern boogers! Be proud o' thissens!

| The interview with Richard was a bit cringeworthy but I thought he could have recovered the situation well if he'd finished off by singing "I dreamed a dream" from Les Miserables.

Who the frig's Les Miserable ? was he a winger in't 60s?
can you imagine it? a Yorkshire team with unecessary surnames...
Sullen takes a high kick-off..passes to Mardy..inside ball to Sulk, drives 10 yards, tackled...Cob-on at acting half..passes to the big forward Ted Grimmace..good run ..offloads to Glum..passes to Morose..tackled...Cob-on again..to Dull..passes to Tommy Dripping....seconds remaining in this game and one point between these sides!! .... Dripping to Willy Eckerslike (the ex-clog maker from Rochdale)....Eckerslike chips the ball through...theres 'a chase on...boot to ball by Fred Cheerless..Les Miserable chasing through...Miserable to the ball first..TRY...Les Miserable wins this game for the Yorkshire side !!! Man of the match, Miserable, he wins a gallon of mild and a coupon for the co-op.

| I did think it was a bit daft that they showed a stereotypical piece when they're trying to move away from it. It's like showing an NBA basketballer sitting on their stoops in the ghetto or something like that as their past time. I bet people would be a bit more sensitive if it was something like that.

| I wouldn't worry about it, the only people who watch Boots n' All are hardcore RL tragics, I struggle to watch more than 10 minutes without wanting to switch over to the paint drying channel.

| Yes lets take the p-ss out of a young lad who been brought up in a tough back round and still stayed on the strait and narrow.Insteadl lets put some more up to date players on the screen in stead like these players what they get up to off pitch.
James Graham alway pist even got a photo him the night GB played in Oz with my Dad pist.
Price and Readon beating up people.
libel removed. tb
Wife beater Bird and the list goes on and on.
I can remember a young J Roby doing the sort of interweiw doing the same sort of interveiw and nothing was said about him.

4652.gif I wouldn't bother reading this bit, there is nothing interesting, witty or insightful down here, just this collection of boring words explaining that you really are wasting your time browsing this signature in the vain and futile hope that there will be a nugget, nay, a veritable goldmine of witticisms or divine philosophy. In reality, all you're going to get is disappointment, a sense of hopelessness and a random word.

| With fear of being stuck by lighting. By mentioning the dark side here, but has anyone seen the rugby union's version of Boots n All called the Rugby Club.
I have caught this show a couple of times when bored and flicking thought the TV channels. well to me this is the way our show should go if only sky would allow. First off its on for a hour and a half so not rushed to explain highlights of thats weeks games. They have normally three so call experts in studio to go over them.
They are also able to fit in interviews with more then one player. They sometimes do a thing thats like a welcome to my club, where someone from mangement will show cameras round the Club (silly thing like gym and mangers office). they have a article they have took from Soccer and thats called crossbar challenge, where players have to throw a rugby ball over crossbar from a certain distance. all this may sound silly but to me it adds up to a more interesting show.
But the main thing about having a hour plus show means that they can also review the next weeks games and like the Aussie NRL Shows the so called experts gvie their views on who they think wil win that weekend and who to look out for.
Im not a Union fan but you cant help feel that if Sky were as seroius about League as they are about Union, then i cant help feel a better show would get some viewers thinking that maybe might be worth taking in a game some weekend.
Also helps Union that the show is repeated more often then our version of the show.

If Owen kept working dogs in the grounds of his house, birds in an aviary on the premises and enjoyed hunting but spoke with a public school accent, would everyone still be decrying the damage supposedly done to the image of the game?
Doesn't this basically come down to northern people being terribly ashamed of how northern another northern person sounded?
