If I have my sources right, the combined capacity of the Middle and Lower tiers is 50,835. I can't imagine they'd open any part of the top tier, unless they've already done it, but haven't publicised it.

So, yes, here's hoping for a sell out and the total will indeed be nearer 60k than 40k

i really hope i am wrong, but the sections that are on sale haven't completely sold out, so i think we will get 45k tops. I hope i am wrong, i would be overjoyed if we get 60k but i have more chance of winning a tenner on the lottery tonight.

There is a colour advert in tonight's London Evening Standard advertising the "best seats" at half price, from £22.50. Seems a good idea - last minute drive to boost attendance and revenue.

If it wasn't for the public school educated editors hating League and the Oxford and Cambridge educated Journos constantly writin DPS's on the evil of the game, Wembley would have sold out last year for this weekend.....they'd have been broadcasting it to big screens in Wigan and Huddersfield and charging 30 uid to get in. The Pits would still be open and a pint would still be tuppence......

Alternatively, it could be down to the so called fans of TGG just not being bothered any more.......9,722 is the average SL attendance...x 7 games is 68,054. Add the 20,000 that go to Ch and Ch 1 games and you're at 88,000 and change.......what are the odds on 50% of that figure being bothered on Saturday to see the 3 best International RL sides in the game?

It's very easy to blame anyone but the fans of the game, but when it comes to attendances, who else are you going to blame........it's not like every RL fan in the UK doesn't know its on.

What is the boozer of RLfans choice pre-match in or around Wembley?

Hopefully whatever the crowd this will be the start of taking internationals to proper venues again on a regular basis rather than some of the tin pot venues we have played at over the last 10 years.

We're going into the Wetherspoons just outside Wembley. Went in there prior to the Challenge Cup Final and the atmosphere was great in there.
