| Quote Fully="Fully"In terms of Super League
Wigan - very likely - replacement for Sarginson - most likely to have/use marquee spot for him particularly if Williams is off
Hull FC - likely - massive overhaul - looking to throw cash at players - may try and release a few players to get him in
Hull KR - possible - McGuire connection - maybe offer a bit more cash but wouldn't get marquee there
Castleford - possible - Daryl Powell connection/Hardaker effect/doesn't have to move far
Huddersfield - possible but think they're likely to be blown out the water
Warrington - i'd say unlikely with their cap situation but you never know
Catalans - unlikely - think living overseas may be too far
Saints - unlikely - think they've better centres at the mo
Wakefield - Very unlikely - don't think they could afford
Salford - Very unlikely - definitely can't afford'"
It’s nothing to do with Wakefield being able to afford him we could do that easily. But why would we pay over the odds for a player who on present form isn’t as good as the three we have? Now we also have Jack Croft who looks to be a SL centre in the making.
It’s not about how much you can afford but what you’re willing to pay and I can’t see many clubs coughing up what I suspect Watkins thinks he’s worth.
I’d pay him the same as Lyne or Arundel and I can’t see him going for that.

| Watkins was one of the few world class UK players in SL. I really admired him as a player & as a bloke & will be forever grateful he didn't go off to yawnion. To see him in his current form, & not being sure whether he will ever get back to his best, when he should be at his peak, is not enjoyable.

Bit harsh. Wasn't that long ago i would have liked him for us. I think this last injury has hindered his game big time.

Exactly, considering people like to call ourselves “the rugby league family” and express sadness and well wishes when players suffer those type of serious knee injuries (note reactions to the likes of Manfredi and Johnstone earlier this year) and hope they recover fully from it then it’s been quite interesting (poor/hypocritical more apt) to see the mocking many have given to Watkins on his struggles to recover from his serious injury.

I think you'll find their/they're/there(sorry jean) are more fans on here that are more sympathetic towards Watkins than have mocked him and I'm sure most on here wish him all the best at his new club, maybe playing in a side what are playing better than Leeds is all he needs to kick start his season.

You never stop stirring the pot do you. Watkins has received in general a similar amount of sympathy too the two players you mention. That said there is one crucial difference that you've missed in your latest attempt to be outraged on behalf of the Rhinos. Manfredi and Johnstone are both youngish players who are yet to hit their true potential, Watkins has had a brilliant career that has unfortunately ended in a way that he'd rather it hadn't but he still has a sack full of medals and a full career behind him so lets not get too precious.
Surely even you can see the difference and thus its obvious why the two you mention probably got a tad more sympathy
You need to take another break you really do.

He did upon receiving the injury, since his return it’s been different because he hasn’t been able to recover his form like others have.

Nothing about “being outraged on behalf of the Rhinos” as I include some Leeds fans in the ones who have mocked his struggles, but you jumped the gun thinking I only meant opposition fans and was the one getting outraged.
As for full career the guy did his injury just 2 months after his 27 birthday, just because he’s picked up some trophies early that’s not a full career at all, he was only just hitting his prime years and just as much hadn’t yet his true potential as you say about others.
The difference has naff all to do with age, nor should it that’s a dumb reason because if the exact same thing befalls Johnstone on his next return I’m sure you’ll get sections of the RL fan base doing the same thing.

Don’t worry I’m getting use to it being the go to line for a certain few posters just because they don’t agree with an opinion.
