It was a poor performance from Wires, and by the end I was just surprised Saints didn't score 50, because I thought that was a certainty when they got to 38 and were tearing us apart at will. We seemed to take a lot more fans there on Friday than we did for the semi final last year, which given the scale of the respective games is mad, even taking into account that most of us (me included) expected to lose the semi.

Maybe we've not won many trophies but least we've remained very competitive during that period and not had the embarrassment of a middle 8s campaign like certain other clubs I could mention.

Yet again cherry picking the seasons, Superleague is 23 years old so where have Leeds been successful in the other 13 years. How the mighty have fallen when 2 middle 8's campaigns are regarded as an acceptable taken.

Saints have been by my estimateSuperleague Champions on 6 occasions
Challenge Cup winners on 7 occasions
League Leader Shield Owners on 7 occasions
World Club Champions on 2 occasions.


Leeds have become insignificant these days and have sunk to lower depths, Saints have been bottlers but at least they have been competitive for all the 23 years of Superleague, but the great thing is that Saints win or lose have been entertaining to their fans for at least 20 of those 23 years for me thats is the greatest acceptable taken.

No not really. I've seen plenty of success at Saints over the years so wouldn't really want to swap places with a club which has a fantastic chance of being relegated come the end of this season.
