Tomkins has been put in the halves to run the games and take us around the field. This isn’t the kid who’d play with a ball of his own years ago, he’s developed in to an organiser and a game manager. He’s had to do that because injuries have taken his pace and he’s been superb in the role for us this season. He may have been playing at full back for Wigan most of the time but he was pulling the strings at all times for us regardless of position.
I’m not down on the line up at all. I think it’s attacking and well balanced and will cause the Kiwis plenty of problems. |

Amazing the discrepancy between our pack and backline. Looks like our best pack for many years, but in the backs we look weak. The idea that Myler and Williams are our best (fit) halfs is depressing.
