| This probably should on its own thread. But still.
The Salford v Catalans game in New York will now not be happening.
This is because all other SL chairmen voted against the idea, because both teams would get a precieved advantage by only having 1 game at Easter.
Really says pretty much everything you need to know about some of the problems RL has at the moment.

It really says everything about the problems RL has at the moment that a Salford v Catalan game was even considered taking to New York. Ridiculous and pointless idea.

Nothing wrong with taking a game over there but it was stupid to potentially give 2 teams only 1 game over Easter. Salford still have 7 other home games to choose from to do it.

Agree, I also think but no offence to those teams just like it would be pointless TRinity playing over there but I'd have liked to see say a Leeds v Wigan game over there and see what the response and turn out would be. Maybe not this season because of the travels those teams have done but maybe next year.

| Hull have signed Lewis Bienek from London Broncos. 3 and a half year deal but he's been loaned straight back to London for the rest of the season.
19 year old prop.

Great signing with potential to be the best prop in the comp. I bet just about every SL club was after him.

Seriously, knocking down Acadmey players for fun!
He might do really well but how you can be so ridiculously sure is beyond me.
Remember Chris Feather. Unstoppable at 19 and after a decent start lost his way. Funny because on the same day Trinity signed a makewight called Gareth Ellis.

That`s why i said potential to be, as a lot of players have great potential.. Not too sure how i sounded sure about anything?
At 19 he not only looks comfortable but is making championship props look pathetic, never seen such a physically developed 19 year old and to say props usually mature towards there late 20s the early signs are looking very good.

| St Helens had a prop. Cant remember his name. Was unplayable at academy age. These very forums were awash with Saints fans claiming he was going to be the best prop ever. Made his debut against Bradford, got smashed by Sam Burgess and was never seen again

Again... We are not talking just about academy level here but at championship level as well, which is the difference.
Turned Saints down to sign with Hull FC.

No he isn't, much of that footage is Academy games, games in which you see this rather a lot. Yes some are from the championship but if you were to edit down to a couple of minutes of any player you'd end up making them look great I'm surprised folk still fall for that.
That's not to say he isn't any good but potentially one of the best in SL, way to early especially when you consider the stick Wakefield fans get for pushing Johnstone and he's a positive veteran by comparrison.
There are two sets of fans who are far worse than any others when it comes to hyping up young players, they are Cas and London fans to whom every half decent player is a 'potential' superstar but very rarely deliver.
