Bar Salford or Cas, i think every other team will probably be expecting to be top 8 this year.

I think even Widnes will be geared to taking that step and questions will be asked if they dont.

It wouldn’t be a huge shock to me to see a more established team like Hudds or Les Catalans struggle to make it this year.

i think Cas will have top 8 aspirations, only Salford look like no-hopers at the moment for obvious reasons.

Quote: Him "You really need to calm down and start acting like a grown up. "Making Bailey cry"? Are you 8 years old? Your star signing was so moronic as to get himself sent off in a friendly and you come on here gloating about that fact? Go away you stupid little boy.

If you want to discuss the relative strengths of the 2 teams then please post something less childish and pathetic.

As for Kaufusi, he played pretty well last year from what I saw, how much have you seen Poore play? From what I've seen of both I'd still take Kaufusi. As for Rodney and Kirmond, again from what I've seen of both if take Rodney though it was a close decision.
Even disregarding those 2 arguments, what makes Wakefield fans so confident as to think their squad is "A lot stronger" than London's?
I don't think London have a particularly good squad. But then neither do Wakefield, and I think both will struggle to, and probably not, make the playoffs.'"

Oh don't you love it when the Leeds handbag brigade are in full flow. So much give and so little take. c020.gif

Quote: SmokeyTA "Antonio Kaufusi is an NRL winning, SoO winning Australian international who has played in 2 NRL grand finals and a World Club Challenge.

By what logic have you decided that Justin Poore is a better player?

Or can we file under VASTY’S BIASED NONSENSE like how Ben Jeffries was a hugely better player than ‘fatty Mcguire’?'"
.

Did I say that, don't recall it but if I did then good.

As for Antonio Kaufusi, he has one SOO in 2007 - Poore played in 3 in 2009. Win to Poore.

Kaufusi 2 losing GF - Poore none. Win of sorts to Kaufusi

Kaufusi 1 international

So Antonio Kaufusi pips it by one international as I believe 3 SOO beats 2 GF's as people like you are always telling us it's the pinnacle.
Even in your bitter biased little world there isn't much between them - now jog on and enjoy more Ryan Bailey.

Quote: Dave Lister "Comparing Tim Swith with Craig Gower?

Is this the Gower of now or 10 years ago.

You see Dave this is where you get confused. The Gower of today is a shadow of the player he was, and where the Smith v Gower comparison may have been laughable some years back it isn't anymore. To anyone who isn't a total blinkered wally it is now very valid.

Still whilst ever London and English fans in particular continue to swoon over truly past it Aussies then our game will continue to stagnate.

If London hit their straps , and stay injury free, I see no reason why they cant trouble the top 13.

People seem to forget that Craig Gower, who played 238 games for Penrith, 5 for NSW, and 18 for Australia -- during the eras of the legendary Immortal Andrew Johns and the very talented Brett Kimmorely --had had 4 years rest while playing rugby union for Bayonne and Italy. His body is more like that of a 30 year old than a 34 year old.

Expect Gower to run rings around whichever halves Wigan and St Helens manage to dig up. And watch Dixon and Robertson bag multiple tries off Gower's kicking game.

Its RL, not top trumps. Kaufusi was a very very good prop, far better than Justin Poore has ever shown. He hasnt hit those levels for a couple of years. As for who is better now? Poore hasnt had the best start has he, a twenty minute hissy fit isnt going to change anyones mind on him. But who knows, I didnt say either way it was you who got all uppity because somebody thought Kaufusi was better and you are now trying to back track on it.

Yep I think everyone tends toward their own clubs players a little because as you say you see them each week. I also think some (and I stress the word some) Wakefield fans have got a little carried away due to Wakefield making the playoffs last season. If I were a Wakefield fan I'd be far happier with what's happening off the field rather than on it. I don't think Wakefield will particularly improve that much on the field in the next few years and will be generally around the 9th or 10th position in the league. However they are making good progress off the field, which should bear fruit on the field in the future.

By the way, if you think "handling" an opposition forward by getting sent off in a friendly and so the team losing the game is a good thing then I suggest you get your head examined fairly quickly. Whilst I'm sure Poore is a good player he really needs to work on his attitude. If he can get that worked up by Ryan Bailey and a few of Leeds reserves in a friendly then he's going to be sat in the stands most weeks instead of on the pitch.

A bit like Alfie Langer at Wire who came over for a few pints and a knockaround in his 30's only to be recalled to win a SOO for Queensland.

But anyway I'm a Bronco so what would I know? You've got to follow a west Yorks team to be fully informed on the game- we understand

What else dont we know.

We fit in the category down here of being those that dont know they dont know

Yes I think some people think Tim Smith is the same player that played at Wigan, he isn't he's come along way both on & off the field since then and for someone to suggest that Smith isn't anywhere near the class of Gower, shows that they either didn't watch much of Smith play last year or rate the current version of Gower too highly.

You don't half talk some rubbish at times Smokey. We're superior to Widnes as a side too and I think our squad has much more experience than last year. I think we're very capable of making the 8. But, as usual, your anti-Cas bias continues.
