Not sure, I went to the ticketing site and click on a couple of the upper tier blcoks, you could buy a ticket for £25 so must be open. The 'map' image is down at the moment (for me anyway) so could be updating the rest of it.

| Just ordered a family ticket plus 1 more child for £49.50. Bargain! The bloke on the phone said they are opening the top tier but not fully due to maintenance work. He said it looks like it should easily sell out though.

Down on mine too, but Leeds Utd site isn't selling any in upper tier yet.
Only about 300 seats left by the looks of it and most are £40 band!

I agree with what other people have said about Eastlands, the final should be held there, we could sell well over 40k for England getting in a final. The atmosphere should be great.'"
Once again for the bloody thick...
Man City (and many other football clubs) say who does and doesn't play on the pitch, they don't want us there, we can't force them to host it. It is played at Elland Road because Leeds Utd don't have any say in it.

That's a superb offer.
By the way, people saying we should play at Eastlands, Man City said they won't have other sporting events there mid season.

In the specific case of Man City, the original planning stipulations limit how many non-football events they can hold in any year. If a pop promoter is prepared to pay more than the RFL, they really have no incentive to let us have the stadium.

Im not doubting that, but I have only every heard that from RL fans. In any case why would their be a limit on non football events stipulated in the planning? Seems abit daft for a stadium that was orginally built to host a multi sports event. Would have been great if they could have held it there.

Because the football games obviously aren't optional and the council had to limit the number of any further (ie effectively 'non football') events to help smooth through the project without too many objections from residents.

Oh right, shame really a game of this standard should be played at qaulity stadiums like Eastlands. Good news that the second tier will be open on Saturday now.

Yup, like Coldplay. A choice between a winter event that will earn them a few thousand or a summer event that will earn them a whole lot more, which one do you think they'll choose.
Blame Manchester City council for allowing the stadium to be locked down for soccer use at the expense of almost everything else.

Where is it actually stated that there is a limit? Based on what your saying how the hell do they plan on staging the magic weekend there? What I dont understand is that the Council own the ground and lease it to Man City for a now fixed fee. So who gets to decide other events, and what money they take from there. Are the council taking a fixed fee for other use because if they are it wouldnt matter what event was held there.
