| ill go. Two top level international games, Wembley is a fantastic stadium to watch live sport in. Im not going to complain because i have to travel for a couple of hours and they have only given me 7 months notice.
It will be fantastic.

| All RL fans who possibly can should embrace this and snap up tickets. What a day out - 2 RL internationals in an awesome stadium. Ok, so it's not 100% ideal - perhaps Cardiff is better for facilities - but this should be a fantastic event with a packed house.
I have no doubt my club will discuss options for putting a trip on, and if that doesn't happen I'll be making my own plans. In fairness I'm fairly fortunate that I have family in Beaconsfield, dead easy to Wembley from there.

| Hopefully the RFL will be able to gauge well in advance how many rugby league fans are coming down from the heartlands and then make sure that the stadium looks full.
In 2008 the Guinness Premiership rugby union final added 22,500 to it gates from the previous years, and this game had hundreds of tickets at £10 through ticketmaster when bought months in advance. The RFL always do the right thing on making the match day tickets affordable to all, and it seems appearance of a vibrant international game will trump profitability but hopefully we will market the game to the British public, not just making the heartlands decamp and come down to London for the weekend.
I think this has double header come from the RFL and the international board rather than SKY, but if the ticket sales are not stellar, why not look at giving away a few tickets through SKY rewards, or give them a small reduction. This would probably be taken up by rugby league fans and the idea of giving away free tickets may remind many of the England vs Australia game at Twickenham in the opening game of the 2000 RLWC where many just didn't take up the tickets because of the torrential downpour on gameday.
It is possible to make Rugby League look like it has a vibrant international game; Briers, Tomkins, Marshall, Slater; get these guys in an advert and make the British public excited about the interesting egg-shaped ball game.
Rugby League. The best kept secret in London. The RFL has six months to get this sorted.

I meant my amateur club.
If, as they have in the past few years, the RFL put together some good offers for amateur clubs we tend to snap them up. Offers like a ticket, England shirt and coach travel for a set price - but if you sell over 30 (iirc), the club gets a hefty cashback amount. Or simply selling tickets in bulk at the club for cashback.
My club has made good money from the 4 Nations and Grand Final trips over the last few years - money that is a godsend for a young and developing amateur team.

I don't get people's reasons for a straight batted 'no'. On a saturday an advanced return from Warrington is available for under £30 normally. You're in London in under 2 hours and watching England at Wembley for less than £50 and you've paid for you're travel.
I know a soccerball fan who pay £1000 for a Man Uts season ticket and £300 to go watching them in Spain to get treated like cattle and get their face smashed in for no reason.

| I would think that this would not include the club wembley tickets so hopefully they could be sold and then we wouldnt have that section of empty seats.

I think all amateur clubs should be contacted too, get the kids and people playing the game actually at Wembley. I think yawnion do this somehow, maybe someone who knows more can enlighten me a bit more.'"
They send most of their tickets out to clubs, if a club fails to sell their allocation next time round they may have their allocation reduced or no allocation at all. Similarly tickets get sent to rugby playing schools. This may or may not be appropriate for RL based on given what happened at Quins, they done various deals including free tickets with RL playing local schools the take up was minimal.
Having said that this is a far better approach than than trying to sell tickets to uniterested antipodeans in the south east.

| With londons ever growing rl playing community it might also be a way of cementing these new players interest in the game in the capital.

| I'll be running a lads trip from Hull and taking a 49 seater down there. Ive already got interest for more or less a full coach load (although that could be to do with my excellent beano organising skills lol). I did a trip to the Wigan test 2 years ago and the RFL gave me a free ticket for every 9 bought. I would expect an even better offer for this event.
If its done right, this could be the biggest thing to happen to RL in this country for years.

Completely agree, if tickets go on sale early with some deals for people like yourself with kids teams and they start selling well I think the bandwagon will start rolling too.

| If held in the day time say 2pm and 4pm kick off should be more feasible for people to travel down on the train for the day and get the train back same day and save money on hotel costs, if booked in advance could be fairly cheap trip to London for the day
