| Quote The Clan="The Clan"I just called to cancel my subscription and their customer services team has called me back. I gave them my reasons are cancelling and they try to persuade me to stay by telling me about their Magners league coverage.
When I told them I was a rugby league fan and not a fan of rugby union and that it was their coverage of Australian rugby league that attracted me to them they began telling me about their AFL coverage.
Eventually they offered me £9.99 a month. The only caveat to this was that my 12 month contract would restart tying me to them at that price. £9.99 a month is excellent value in the range of sports that Setanta show however I declined because of the 12 month tie in.
They very quickly offered me £6.50 per month for the next three months with no 12 month contract. That's a great deal and it allows me to reassess my subscription with them at the end of the three months'"
Make sure you get the offer in writing. |

Ive only just got Setanta for the first time two weeks ago for the NRL. It will be binned after my minimum subscription period expires if two or more games a week aren't been televised by then.

| never mind complaining to setanta lets do something to get it back on sky. it really gets my back up not been able to watch nrl any more when i pay over £50 a month to sky. and there is no way on gods earth i would pay an extra tenner a month to setanta, i have seen a few of there broadcasts and quite simply they are CRAP  ! |

Their NRL coverage is good. It's basically the same build up and in match commentary as the Aussies and the SOO is excellent. |

I've just phoned them and got a cheaper deal.
£9.99 for 12 months with my multi room coming free for 3 months before going to £2.49 per month.
The only problem is that the guy on the phone claimed that they are in contract talks with 9 and Fox and that they are 75% sure of sorting a contract in the next few weeks for the NRL. As I am a massive US sports fan, the Setanta sports package is a good one for me becayse of ESPN America. However, I would urge all NRL fans who have setanta to contact them and at least express your disspleasure at the current lack of games. At least this way they will realise how popular the NRL is, and they may pull their fingers out and get the contract sorted.

Yet again I understand, but what was the point of listing how much coverage the game gets in Aus?
Your bias against Nine leads you to beleive that the production of fox is superior... only a muppet would suggest that the production of fox along with their ordinary commentary team makes it for better watching.
