Saturday's Daily Telegraph had two pages of their tabloid sized sports section, and the Sunday Telegraph had three quarters of a broadsheet page plus a headline and photo above the sport section banner.

I reckon the BBC and the World Cup organisers will be very happy with that.'"
The BBC should be thinking how they got that figure with very little promotion

The RFL should be doing all it can to use these figures to leverage more live games and better timeslots on the BBC.
We need to have the SL highlights broadcast nationally for a start, the slot after MOTD2 late on Sunday nights (as has been used for the World Cup) seems the best for all parties. So lets get them to make it ours. No more of this 'anytime between 11pm and 2am in the North only' nonsense.
The 2:30 Saturday afternoon slot has done well in the ratings for the World Cup, and the hard to please RL fans seem to like that slot too. So lets stick to that slot for the next home 4 Nations too.
Finally lets convince the BBC to show more games from the next World Cup Down Under, its not like they have anything else to show at that time on a Saturday & Sunday morning, they can take the feed and commentary from Aussie TV. Cheap TV that'll bring the ratings in.

| Just went to bbc.co.uk and the main sport menu seems to be missing the rugby league tab across the top????

6760.jpg [b:2e2uhwyq][size=150:2e2uhwyq] When Hull KR got promoted they said there was only room for one elite team in Hull... how right they were! [/size:2e2uhwyq][/b:2e2uhwyq]:6760.jpg |

| Yes, same for me (in Sydney), they're clearly filtering the menus - by UK / non-UK at least. The irony of not having a League menu in a country where it is one of the two major sports and Union is a minority affair is not lost on me... unbelievable, I wish I was shocked but it's so bl**dy predictable from the southern-led media.
(No doubt Gutters will say this is the RFLs fault...)

| Sky sports news ran a preview on the world cup final this morning so they haven't completely forgot about the tournament.

| BBC Radio 5 Live yesterday said that the 75,000 crowd expected at Old Trafford will be the biggest ever Rugby League crowd anywhere in the world.... Clearly WRONG. I presume they meant for an International?
