Apparently this guy is a great contact in sports sponsorship. This could be the RFL's way of trying to get business done with him. We don't know. But we'll boo him anyway because we want a gold medallist that may possibly have been approached but couldn't appear or just didn't want to appear.

How about we ignore the OP ironic booing comments and focus on what the person presenting the cup should bring.
Theres always a possibility I could get some huge sponsorship packages, but i've not been invited to present the cup!

In the current climate, a cup sponsored by Carnegie shold have been able to persuade somebody who uses their facilities. Jessica Ennis springs to mind.
