| Briscoe is our best option at fullback, in my opinion. He's no Billy Slater or Brent Webb in attack but he's far from useless going forward, with 10 tries in 21 games this season (a better record than Owen, fwiw). Defensively, there's no better fullback in the league.

Wellens was excellent on Saturday and is a very skilful player.
He may lack pace but not skill. FWIW he wouldn't be my full back for England, but neither would Briscoe.

| Wellens for me, although that's not really saying much. Sound in defence and shows skill when he hits the line. Briscoe, also sound defensively but doesn't have any creativity. Owen is a very good prospect though, always looks dangerous and seems to have good positioning.

| i'd go with anyone who "looks dangerous" over "sound defence" every day of the week...
i'd even go as far as to say i'd look at playing pryce or mcguire at fullback before i'd go for wellens or briscoe..

| I would like Owen to get into the England train on squad but think it's too early for him to get into the final squad, but think he has the potential one day to.
Owen makes a lot of meters and busts a lot of tackles for Cas, but what i'm happy about is his defence which has come on leaps and bounds this year.

Pretty much agree with your forwards, not sure about pryce at full back, would like to see him given a run out at centre (maybe against wales), instead of gleeson

Toyed with that idea but we got mullered in the centres in the world cup and think we need players who defend that position every week.

| On a slightly different note, Gleeson looked ten times the player Shenton did last night to which I was suprised.
For me he should keep one centre spot with Pryce in the other. That or ask Senior nicely and put him instead of Gleeson.
Sometimes in this country we see a young player and build him up much much too quickly.
tbf i'd give Tom Briscoe a run too
