I can confirm that a lot of Newport Gwent Dragons supporters were given free entry to Celtic crusaders v Leeds ay Rodney Parade on Sat 22nd August 2009.

We were sitting amongst several in the Hazell Stand and the one I was talking to told me .... he even showed me his ticket....it proudly displayed £0.00 where the price is usually shown.

They were regulars at the ground and they told me Celtic Crusaders were giving out freebies to club members to try and swell the numbers a bit to get more people interested.

so what? hull fc gave away 5,000 tickets against quins in their last home game, plenty of clubs give tickets away. new clubs will, as it is seen as an easy way to get people to games and come back, its about time people stop singling out celtic as they are not on their own for handing out freebies
