A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. | Well Lyon and Matai both blew chances when it was harder not to score but the 2 tries apart I thought NQL's goal line defence was superb. Thurston was great too and that last chip to Bowen brought a smile to my face
I have really gone off SL with a passion after watching the NRL for the last week. The gap has widened in the offseason IMO. |

they probably wont even make the finals now.
and the storm were very lucky not to lose to the warriors
the game now rewards genuine attacking sides not the ones with rubbish grapple tackles.
the tigers are finding some form, penrith could be up there as well.
dogs go from strength to strength, broncos, titans and dragons

the nrl has gone back to where it was in 2006 when the games were fast and great to watch.
the grapple tackle and other stuff like it had seen a slow boring game result.
good to see the nrl acted and got rid of the rubbish

What happened to the Broncos? 16-0 up and then Lyon gets a hat-trick and Manly win it 22-20. I know Hodges and Hunt didn't play but to lose from there is poor for a team like the Broncos.
