| By the way, they got 4,066 versus Coventry Bears last May.
So the answer to the OP is no, nowhere near.

Well this is the thing isn't it, Toulouse regularly get over 2,000 and that is just going to keep growing with their success. Should they make it into the championship they will suddenly be one of the best supported teams in there as well.

It wasn't intended to be.
I was really putting emphasis on the "home" support levels. In SL if a crowd of 6,000 turn up you kinda expect a large number of those will include away supporters.
Pre season friendlies between Toulouse and Catalans draw in around 4-5000 fans [ home and away fans ] , but the cold keeps a lot of fans at home in France. They tend to come out in the summer when it's warm and RU is not being played.
So the number seemed really good to me. And i think that could grow over the next 4 home games to maybe 3,500- 4,000. If Toulouse make the League 1 home final I'd expect support from all Clubs to come along so, a figure of 7-10,000 is possible. But Stade Ernest-Argelès only has 4000 seats, so a move out to a ground like Stade Michel Bendichou ( Colomiers ) with a capacity of 11,000 might be the go.
If they get that far there will be a lot of interest and publicity via the TV and press, plus RL circles
Anyway, one step at a time.

Yes one step indeed , Toulouse are winning ATM so are seeing decent crowds , as Similarily in the Championship Leigh are getting attendances most thought were impossible outside SL
But in a higher league it is impossible to come up with accurate guesses because their performance and results would change
As for Salford it's a shame and I along with probably everybody else don't really know what they can do to improve things

Both those teams play in the Championship, not in League 1.

| Toulouse Olympique, with its great early attendances in League 1, is going to be a very popular team in the Championship, and an even more popular team when it reaches Super League.
I can imagine that in Super League Toulouse will average 10,000 spectators, with 15 - 18,000 spectators for its home matches against Leeds, Wigan, Warrrington, St. Helens, and Hull FC, and 20,000 for its home game against Catalans.

Imagine all you want , they won't make it to SL for 5 years at least and then ' if ' they get there they'll get 7/8 K averages

That is ridiculous. They have already beaten the top Championship side Leigh in the Challenge Cup, and they played Wakefield close for most of the game played at Wakefield. I expect that next year in their quest to win the Middle 8s, they will buy a couple of fiercesome forwards that will make them stronger than the weakest Super League club. Toulouse will be promoted to Super League possibly at the end of 2017, but certainly by the end of 2018. Toulouse is a very serious sporting enterprise, while some of the Super League clubs are not.
The sports mad people of Toulouse --- a city bigger than Leeds --- have been thirsting for an entertainment machine like Toulouse Olympique for years. Once their hometown club locks horns with the English "big boys," the sporting public will come out in droves to support it. There is no reason to think that for the big games Toulouse Olympique won't get at least as many attendees as Leeds Rhinos do, and probably more.

| Why are Leigh fans so worried about Toulouse?
Any mention of them and they're all over it like a rash, E.g. Budgiezilla, Starbug.
They know that a small club from a small town a stones throw from three big SL clubs isn't what SL needs, and Toulouse are a much better prospect for the sport.
