| Quote: JEAN CAPDOUZE "There is a point. You have not grasped it.
England was not humiliated in this series because it was relatively well off, compared to Australia, in terms of available talent being allowed to play for their country.
It may not be so lucky next time.
On the brighter side for England, we now know for sure that James Graham is definitely the world's best prop, the Burgess twins and Christopher Hill are world class, and Darryl Clarke and Daniel Sarginson are stars in the making.'"
No the point you havent grasped is its RL, players are always injured and unavailable
So pointless speculating

| The scoreline would be something like 44-4.
To Australia, obviously.

| I'd suggest Slater and Thurston may never play England again at their age.
Do the Aussies have enough coming through?

The last time we ran a depleted Australian team close in 2003 and proceeded to high five each other (despite still losing the series 3-0) and follow it up with Golden Boot best player in the world awards, we then got hammered 44-4.
I'd call it historical precedent as opposed to mindless speculation.
As you were.

That Golden Boot award to Andrew Farrell was a scandal.
For this year it has to be between James Graham and Shaun Johnson.

There is as much chance of any country being depleted next time, so pointless to speculate
What is up for discussion is should another International tournament take place without neutral officials?
My opinion , NO

If the Brighouse constituency get to gerrymander the golden boot vote again as they did in 2012, then Danny Brough must surely be a shoe-in for 2014?

| Is the australlia team depleated that much through genuine reasons? If it was the World Cup would they have had a similar squad or would some of the players been avalable to play? Don't know the answer just asking because it seems to me unless there is a WC on they seem to treat internationals like Chelsea would treat the league cup

You are probably right. The World Cup has a higher status than Four Nations. I am not sure how many Australians were really injured, and how many were under orders from their club not to play (as seems to have happened with France in its competition with the Home Nations).
New Zealand was also missing its two Roosters props Samuel Moa and Jared Wharea -Hargreaves, and Roosters wing/full back Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. I suspect official pressures.
