| It's a real shame about Watkins. The lad just doesn't seem to be able to put a run of games together, or at least thats how it seems as I must confess I don't really pay much attention to Leeds throughout the season.

He's been OK with injuries up until now these past 12 months or so.

That's good then I was under the impression he was a bit injury prone but now I don't have Sky my knowledge of some of the other sides isn't as good as it was.
Speedy recovery to all injured in tonights game, as there were a few on both sides.

| Sinfield just looks so slow in his distribution and decision making at the moment. There was debate about McIlorums tackle on him last week but he got hit with another similar one tonight (although it didn't shake him like that one) in the first half and it's all down to how long it's taking him to distribute the ball. He's like a sitting duck and because of his reputation as Leeds kingpin he'll be targetted.
It's a worry for England, I still can't believe we've made him captain of a side he should be far from certain of getting in to.

| I thought both Holdsworth and Sinfield played pretty well.
I also don't think Hull dominated as much as Carney did. They were on top no doubt but couldn't find a killer blow, and I thought Leeds did pretty well to stay in with a shout.
Deserved win for Hull.

| agree about hull slightly, they seemed to lack a cutting edge at times, despite being dominant for the most part.
I think though the scoreline flattered leeds as I just don't think they were ever in the game, but yet still were never more than 18 points adrift, and had they managed to get some momentum and not disrupted with injuries, could have been very interesting.
that's the beauty of RL I guess.

| Sinfield should be nowhere near the England team at the moment, apart from goalkicking he's offering nothing to the game.
We were good tonight I thought, our defence was excellent first half, and we played 60 minutes without Green and then the last 20 odd without O'Meley.

| first half fc were pretty dominant in all areas, second half, both teams defence outshone attack, why people are being so negative towards hull not scoring more is a bit mystifying when both teams should be credited with great defence!

| Great game. If I was a Hull fan I would be very excited about the partnership of Crooks and Lineham. Crooks doesn't look like he's running that fast but no one seems to get near him. What's happened to Tom Briscoe though, I actually forgot he was playing. Would rather have Lineham in the England squad.
Leeds are starting to struggle with Injuries and the loss of Watkins and Mcguire could really see them struggle. Sinfield tried hard and kicked pretty well, although i thought his kick for Hulls 1st try was poor in that even if Hall had caught it, he was about a metre away from touch and 20m from the try line. He seems to used this play a lot Sinfield. He always seems to aim for about 20m from the tryline for some reason. He is asking far too much of Hall to do. Full credit to Lineham though, what a catch!
Sinfields lack of creativity again was alarming considering he's going to be England's 6. He should be no where near the 6 shirt. Tries hard, put in a shift but that's not what you want your 6 to do.

| Hull have great prospects in the back line with Shoal, Lineham, Crooks, Arundle and Crookes all young and very able to perform at this level. Arundle has had a mixed start at Hull but if they stick with him they'll get a very good centre partnership.
Looking at Holdsworth and Miller partnership it could become one of the best. I know Horne is having a good season but Miller has to come in and put his name on that team sheet.
I think Hull could do some damage in the playoffs this year but Wigan are a class above with Warrington not so far behind. Yes they've not fired this year up to now but let's be honest, Leeds haven't for the past couple of years yet still won the title!
Peter Gentle needs to start working on the attack IMO. I know tries were bombed out there both this week and last but that's just it, in the big finals these points will matter and teams like Wigan and Warrington won't be so forgiving.
As for international honours, Sinfield should be nowhere near. I know what he offers with his leadership...etc. I just want to see players with more skills than he has in his position. The Aussies and Kiwis not to mention the PNG side are all big units and our pack should have at least 3 props on the pitch to start the game. That leaves no room for a Sinfield type loose.
While we're on about Hull, Danny Houghton is really ripping it up again. He is mainly known for his defence but his attack and kicking game isn't too shabby either. I am a big fan of Josh Hodgson, Micky Mac and McShane but if Roby can hit some form now back from injury and Houghton can continue his impressive couple of seasons then I can't see two better options to face the World Cup later this year.
Hard for a Rovers fan to admit but if Hull can keep a hold of these young lads and replace the aging players with some big tough forwards then I think they'll be up there challenging for years to come.
Hope not, but every dog has it's day they say!!!

| Quote: Charlie Sheen "It's amazing to think Leeds could've still won that game had Vickery showed more backbone just before HT. Hull should've won by a lot more and Leeds really didn't have a chance once Watkins and McGuire went off (their seasons look over as well), and with Peacock, Ablett, Ward and BJB out for a good few weeks its going to be very difficult for Leeds to remain in top 4 contention. I just hope for England's sake Watkins's injury isn't a season ender.
To be fair Sinfield had a pretty decent game I thought, and was much improved on recent weeks.'"
Wow. That has to be the most contradictory post I have ever read! Leeds couldv'e still won and Hull should have won by more? Eh?
