benny elias book seems bit hard to get hold off at minute but a good thought for xmas
Hazem El Masri book looks good to me bit of a different slant on NRL career .Can get this on e bay no problem

Stanley Gene's book is excellent.

Heard very good good things about Al Mazri's book, and Wayne Bennett's is old but still superb but very hard to get hold of.

Stanley Gene's is supposed to be excellent. There are often jokes made about his age, you know. And there used to be cannibalism on PNG way back in the day.

Does anyone know if Chris Joynt's book is any good?

I've got it, and i quite enjoyed it.

Andrew Johns' is the best autobiography I have ever read. Very honest and revealing.

Is Terry Newton's any good? Thinking of getting that next.

I think it was Martin Sadler that said Newton's was the best he's ever read.

Newton's is ok but nothing amazing.

Johns's is alright but nowt special.

The best I've read was Mal Reilly's.

Wayne Bennett - Dont Die With The Music In You.

Good luck trying to find a copy though.

Hmm - Stanley Gene's book was written by a 2 year old I think. It's not the most riveting read.

They had a few of them in Waterstone's in Wigan. It was about £18 though.

I think I got mine for about £10 from there, but it was the last one. The woman behind the counter seemed to think Wayne Bennett was a cricketer.

Both of Bennett's books are very good, but Don't Die With The Music In You isn't as biographical as The Man In The Mirror IMO.

Thought the Andrew Johns book was pretty disapointing to be honest.

Terrry Newtons is very similar to Barrie Macs.

Tawera Nikau's is a good read, as is Mike Greg's.

Just stay away from Jamie Peacocks....
